Mark Kriegel of Foxsports.com wrote an article on why people shouldn't glorify the 1992 USA Olympic basketball team aka THE DREAM TEAM. As with most Fox Sports articles it's based off a few selectively remembered facts, lacks any big picture recognition, and is ultimately 180 degrees completely wrong. When it boils down to it Kriegel is just pissed Derek Jeter couldn't make the Dream Team.

i always thought the proper word in this instance would be was, not were. would you say "i were joking?"
