Most car chases are a dime a dozen and boring as fuck, but the Blues Brother's car chase is hands down the best in my book. Watching John Belushi sitting calmly in the passenger seat going 120 MPH is priceless!

the Mustang/Charger one in Bullit.
the Hummer/Ferrari one in The Rock.

is the french connection the one where they're going under the El in NYC? I remember watching a Gene Hackman movie with the commentary on and they said that they couldn't close the road for the shoot so some of the people running out of the way were actually real people running the fuck out of the way.

toggletoggle post by Joshtruction   at Jul 17,2008 8:35pm
Bullit for sure
Original gone in 60 seconds
blues brothers

There are tons of others but I say these take the cake for me.

hands fucking down...
TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A.

Not only that, but this movie also had a reputation for being THE movie to watch as a tutorial on counterfeiting money. definitely way way overlooked and underappreciated.

I think it was actually in Chicago, wasn't it? and I heard that same thing, and in order to film a traffic jam scene they had somebody park their car in the road with the hood up for five minutes while they filmed the scene, and then they beat it before the cops showed up
