honestly - what's so special about deathklok? the musics a joke (MERMAIDER MERMAIDER MERAIDER) and the show isn't even that funny and/or exciting?
it's making a mockery of metal and bringing it to the mainstream media for 13 year olds!

whats wrong with mockery? thats pretty much all this site is good for (besides promoting shows of course). also if brings heavy music to the attention of 13 year olds - whats bad about that? they buy band's cds and go to shows for support just like everyone else. at least thats the age i was when i started getting into metal and pretty much had no idea what was going on with that scene or even what bands were worth my attention.

I'm just glad there wasn't a deathklok around when I was 13 about two years ago.

soilent green just finished there are already crowd surfers dressed like the clown things.

soilent green: their performance is starting to merge into goat whore's. Watching from afar, they have Ben does the same story telling and some of their songs are straight away from stoner rock to nola bm. Then again, they sounded really good on that stage. Im sure the next CD will sound totally different from their other stuff and more like GW. just my oppinion. I ran down during their first song and the levels weren't painful at all.

chimiara: which leads me into chimiara. Usually I some what enjoy their set. There are a few of their more "fear factory" moments that I dig. This... Er.. It was so loud that even with earplugs in, my ears killed. I couldn't put my camera down anywhere cause it would vibrate off. I'm sure if their was set was a little quieter I would have enjoyed it more... Christ!

I was just told that dethklok has no lighting, just a huge movie screen, there is no flash and they just want photographers to shoot pictures of the screen. at this point, I just want to leave and get taco bell.

I like the tv show, but I'm not really sure if I understand the point of Dethklok playing "live".

the TV show is dumb, but anyone listening to the CD and not realizing it's pretty friggin good music is stupid. the CD is just plain good brutal, mid-paced death metal. there are tons of influences in it from Bolt Thrower to Cannibal Corpse to Bloodbath. I just wished every single other word in 99% of their songs wasn't "dethklok dethklok" or sound like "go and get your cookie". The pit was absolutely disgusting during their set. people were passing out left and right. as I tried to skedaddle out of there, I couldn't escape the wave of hot breath/air and sweaty dudes passing out everywhere. ridiculous amounts of passing out. When the band came out and played the metalocalypse theme, it was like a band made up of peter frampton, paul mccartney, peter gabriel, and phil collins hopped up on the stage. every dude was like some huge metal god. I couldn't really hear the vocals at all and I have no idea who anyone was besides the drummer. Good show though. lots of young people that will hopefully be hooked on metal so that when your shitty band plays an all ages show, they will be there with their slutty moms rocking out. dudes, you gotta network.

I tell ya, there's some people that just take this metal shit TOO seriously. It's all in good fun, who cares if they offer a shuttle service directly from Hot Topic to the show. That was a bitchin set last night, awesome videos, sweet sound, and they sold the place out. Can't complain really, very cool dudes too.

i got home and tuned on AS and the word Worcester popped right up on the TV with the word "SOLD OUT" next to it.

I wish I'd gone. I'm a fan. But I had closing shift. I fail.

No, one guitarist (Mike Keneally I think his name is) played with both Vai and Zappa. The other is one of the creators of the show.
