There's dozens of Chinese restaurants in Boston - most of them are good.

There's this one right in Chinatown that I would HIGHLY recommend called "NEW JUMBO'S SEAFOOD RESTAURANT." It's right in the entrance to Chinatown and they have $5 lunch which is literally a 3 course meal.
I think it was voted best of Boston.. their Hot & Sour soup is out of this world.
So, if you're itching for some top-notch Chinese food and don't want to put a dent into your wallet - check this place out.

I've never been to the one in town, but the one in Revere is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had.

Bamboo in Burlington is the best Chinese food I have ever had. Amazing architecture, sushi bar, and it has the freshest tasting seafood. Chinese places have a habit of really fishy tasting seafood, but at this place it tastes like god.

I like New Asia in Somerville. The place that was the Skybar was good when the Slybar was open, I assume it's still the same quality or better.

The Shanghi Garden in Attleboro has some of the best Chinese food I've had ever. The Chicken fingers are huge and fresh made, the have some of the best appetizers around. They also have a drink there that I've never seen anywhere else... The Flaming Lamborghini... 3 types of alcohol, 1of them being 151, fire and a whole lot of fuck you up! Plus the place has motorcycle parking!
In a pinch, Mei King in Bridgewater has some really good food too.

Damn, I forgot about the Chattabox (sp?) in Bridgewater. That place is awesome

Disclaimer: It's somewhat expensive, but it's worth it to me.

From Lido, turn right out of the parking lot, turn left at Revere St., and it's under a mile from there.

that Kowloon (or however the spelling is) is the place that's up on the hill and looks like a castle, right? i've heard good things about that place.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Jun 5,2008 3:46pm edited Jun 5,2008 3:47pm
Kowloon is on Route 1 North in Saugus (it kinda does look like a castle on a hill), and I don't think it's nearly as good as everyone says it is.

Agreed. Though I got dragged out by three "security" guards for having too good of a time so I'm a little biased against the bastards. booo.

My two cents is the Super 88 Market in Allston right in Packards Corner.
There's this little shopping mall of quick restaurants inside that not only have chinese but viet, thai, japanese, indian, and cantonese food. It's amazing and wicked cheap.

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT

first off: it goes up my ass that it's a chinese restaurant called shanghai gardens, and has a big fucking picture of a samurai outside of it...you know, a samurai FROM JAPAN NOT CHINA

second: the two times ive been there, the food wasn't good at all. and on the second trip there i had the acute displeasure of the owner - a short, red-headed jewish man - talk at me for almost 30 minutes about his motorcycle and show off his dumb kokopelli tattoo and tribal armband, presumably to commingle with the BADASS DUDE WITH THE SLEEVE. it's like, dude, if you're not comping this meal, i don't care. tattoos arent tough, i dont have a motorcyle, all i want is to eat my dumplings and leave so i can play some xbox at my friend's house.

there's also a Mei King in pawtucket, and they got shut down temporarily a long time ago for breeding and serving cats in their food.
