Does anyone experience that short sense of happiness after they drink a cup of coffee?
I know caffeine can cause that.. but for some reason when I drink various other things with caffeine in it, it doesn't have that effect on me.

Coffee works better than Paxil for me. I tried paxil but that did absolutely nothing.

yesterday I didn't get to have my afternoon coffee at work. the afternoon SUCKED. then I got a coffee at home and had an awesome night.

i've got low-level depression (have for some years now - not sure why) and I finally just tried some pills for it. did nothing. either i'm going to try something else or just go-with-the-flow and listen to music non-stop.

prozac works for me. paxil didn't.

paxil withdrawals are no fun. feels like i'm dreaming but my brain is dead.

i went through a phase where i quit smoking cigarettes drinking caffeine and alcohol. then i started working out and i felt so awesome.. but it took about 3 months before my aggrevation with the lack of these all subsided... then.. i got pregnant. haha so now my vices are back in full effect. damn health.

i mean, i can understand a glass of wine here and there or one beer if at all.. but when they're getting drunk they're going to fuck their kid up.

Caffeine has never made me feel "better" per say. I started drinking coffee last winter when I'd have to staff these med school lectures for work. The only way (and I mean ONLY) I could stay awake to read, browse espn.com, or even have the ability to do my job was to drink a cup of coffee. Otherwise I'd be so tired it would hurt 30 minutes into 3 hours worth of lectures.

I quit coffee at the start of the new year and switched to Tea. I get more out of it, different flavors and whatnot. It's healthier too, instead loading up on cream and sugar.

The chick from Letters to Cleo used to come in Boston Billiards when I used to cook there, preggers as hell, and knock back a bottle of wine or more on a near-nightly basis. Real classy.

This trick still works. Honestly, everytime I drink a cup of coffee, I feel like a new man. Best anti-depressant ever.
