Dario Argento!
HAIL!

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 11,2008 1:46pm
holy shit, this actually happened in America a couple of years ago. The mother of course didn't survive the forced C-section

toggletoggle post by dug_nli_still at May 11,2008 1:48pm
Inside Unrated is in stores now. I watched it. Very fucked up yet simple. Good gore. These are the 2 French directors that Clive Barker has directing the Hellraiser remake.

Frontier(s) was goofy. It might've been the shitty subtitles I had for it but overall it was nothing groundbreaking. Decent gore and atmosphere.

If anyone is into Spanish horror find [*rec] and watch it before the US remake comes out. I loved it.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 11,2008 2:11pm
I hate to admit, but I watched the end of it on youtube.

yikes...um...yeah

toggletoggle post by goatnli at May 11,2008 2:52pm
Good lookin' out, Domestic.

Anyone see Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door? superduper fucked... and troo

toggletoggle post by DomesticTerror at May 11,2008 3:03pm
the RTTP Argento Contingent should all head in one night to see it.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at May 11,2008 3:04pm
i'd be into that

toggletoggle post by kevord  at May 11,2008 9:38pm
Inside is amazing. The first half hour is a little slow but the rest is scary and full of gore.

toggletoggle post by markfuckingrichards  at May 12,2008 7:45am
I'll be purchasing Inside next week. I have heard all sorts of good stuff about it.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 12,2008 8:09am
Preggos and not, just the idea of being stalked by that woman with the shears scares the shit outta me.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 12,2008 9:45am
this would be the perfect movie to watch right after 'Juno'

toggletoggle post by mOe  at May 12,2008 12:13pm
there's some fucked up clips of this movie on youtube

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 14,2008 10:16am
netflixing today

GYAAAAHHHH this looks harsh.
It looks meaner and more bleak even than poor Lorna's Bathory demise in Hostel II

toggletoggle post by markfuckingrichards  at May 14,2008 11:28am
I bought and watched Inside yesterday. Oh man...so fucking good! The French finally found something useful to contribute to society. Heyoooo! There a few small things in the movie that are kind of dumb, but the storyline is awesome, the gore is even better, and it's extremrly disturbing...which means it's the feel good comedy of the year.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 14,2008 11:48am
nice. That lady with the scissors looks like Death Incarnate

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 3:20pm
You don't know the half of it.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at May 14,2008 3:25pm
i'm interested in seeing this. hopefully it does more than High Tension. what a piece of shit that was.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 3:52pm
High Tension was fucking sick! I heard so many bad things about it but I honestly have no clue what was wrong with it.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 14,2008 3:56pm
that ending in High Tension was so dumb! I liked the rest of it though

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 3:59pm
Yeah I felt the ending was not the strong point of High Tension, but I didn't mind it as much. The end of Inside is pretty fucking awesome if you ask me.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 14,2008 4:25pm
I can't wait. I hope the ending is not happy. I want some 'Arlington Road' bad guys win shit!

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 4:38pm
It all depends on your definition of the word happy, haha.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 14,2008 4:49pm
heh, yeah I'll bet the fetus will be as happy as a pig in a blanket

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 5:02pm
a fan actually made a versin of high tension without the silly twist ending. i like it all except the ending as well. i need to see inside. mark, hook a brother up.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 5:02pm
*version

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 5:03pm
oh yeah, did you end up getting Teeth too? i wanna see that as well.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 9:47pm
Mike's borrowing Inside at the moment; he'll probably rip it to his computer tonight and have it ready for your viewing pleasure tomorrow at practice, Sir Maggot.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 9:53pm
exxxxcelllent!

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 9:54pm
you wanna borrow the mist or P2 at all? or have you seen them already?

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 14,2008 10:05pm
I will utilize both of them in due time. Oh yeah, and I couldn't find Teeth wherever I went. Fuckin' BULLSHIT!

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 10:27pm
sweet. if i see teeth anywhere i'll pick it up. i gotta get diary of the dead and the 40th anniversary night of the living dead soon. they come out tuesday.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 14,2008 11:53pm

the deaths in it were awesome, but the ending was so dumb that it threw the whole thing off for me. i mean seriously, that was so horribly written. but i did find the main character cute, especially when she is running around with the gigantic saw.

i'm sure you've heard this, but if not, a friend of mine found an announcement that the original Dawn of the Dead will be released in 3D next year sometime.

toggletoggle post by aaron_michael  at May 15,2008 10:38am
Despite the cheese, High Tension was brilliantly done.

My co-worker just gave me a burned copy of Inside and I'm fucking pumped to watch this with a date tonight. HA.
She wants to watch Across the Universe. I say 'nay'.

haha! you should watch Across first and then Inside, for the ultimate buzzkill

oh yeah, i was just reading about the 3-D dawn of the dead last night. that should be sick. i am a fan of the 3-D experience. and i havent had a 3-D fix since 1991 with freddy's dead. theyre also making a my bloody valentine re-make in 3-D. i dig the original the new one will probably suck, but it'll be in 3-D, so obviously i'll be there.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 2:09pm
haha all the broads are raving about across the universe. when i woke up this morning, and walked into the kitchen, i saw that my brother and his girlfriend had purchased P.S. I love you, last night. i gotta give him shit for that later on haha.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 3:05pm
oh yeah, the guy who directed high tension is gonna be directing a 3-D re-make of Piranha. for some reason. anyway once again. 3-D, i'll be there

toggletoggle post by aaron michaelNLI at May 15,2008 11:01pm
So, Inside. Fucking rough movie! The French really have their act together when it comes to thrillers.
The woman who plays "The Woman", I would tear that shit up. Gotta love a woman who knows what she wants and just takes it.
After this, I'm going to take a look into french horror/thriller cinema and see what else I can get my hands on.

I'm still waiting for Korea's "The Machine Girl" to hit the shelves in the states!
There's a german zombie movie about ressurected nazi corpses at the D-Day beach(the name is evading me) that I need to find too!

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 11:25pm
the zombie ones called 'worst case scenerio.'

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 15,2008 11:26pm
umm...yeah

just watched the whole thing

pure fucking atmosphere, Hitchcockian tension, and what I like about horror -- good fight, but ultimately, HOPELESSNESS. And with a great deal of terrible pain, all suffered in vain.

goddamn, fucking RECOMMENDED.
the perfect antidote to Juno, which I thought was okay in places but way too smarmy, and an even WORSE ending than High Tension

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 11:29pm
im gonna watch inside tomorrow

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 11:32pm
or that german zombie one might be 'stone's war.' keep an eye out for 'worst case scenerio' too though. the trailer for it is pretty creepy.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 15,2008 11:33pm
let us know what you think

this is my favorite ending since the ORIGINAL 'Wicker Man'

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 15,2008 11:37pm
sweet, definitley. i might actually watch it now. if i do, i'll be back.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 15,2008 11:53pm
I think it's a fuckin' horror CLASSIC.

shit, I've seen a lot of crazy shit but this makes Hostel (and that MTV retardo-shit 'Saw') look like Romper Room.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 15,2008 11:57pm
I let Dave borrow my copy of Inside, and MSD gets it next...I may go through separation anxiety. I need to watch it again!

How did you like the scene with Sarah's mother? That's when I knew it was pure cinematic gold.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at May 16,2008 12:09am
I wasn't expecting her to suddenly show up

NO SPOILERS! but goddamn, that scene was so fucking great, dude.

we need to spread the word about this shiznatch. I feel bad the Weinsteins put it direct to DVD rather than theaters, but holy shit this NEEDS. TO. BE. SEEN. BY. ANYONE. INTERESTED. IN. HORROR. FILM. TECHNIQUE!

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 16,2008 12:14am
I wholeheartedly concur. I've already told a handful of people to watch it and expect a hand-written synopsis of it on my desk by 9:00 AM on Monday morning. Otherwise I'm issuing some fucking warnings.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 16,2008 12:29am
wait til i get my hands on some money and decent equipment. the shit i have going on in my head. holy shit.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at May 16,2008 12:31am
You mean you're finally going to start your cooking show?! MAGNIFIQUE!

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 16,2008 12:35am

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 16,2008 12:43am

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 16,2008 1:17am

did you ever see that movie The Keeper with her and Dennis Hopper? i've been meaning to check it out, i just don't because it could be a waste of time.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at May 16,2008 3:30pm
i havent seen it, but i just looked it up. it seems like an interesting watch. ya never know though, dennis hoppers been making shitty movies for the last few years. minus land of the dead. i liked that. but he was in the 4th crow movie. christ that was fucking awful.

toggletoggle post by DomesticTerror at May 16,2008 5:05pm
just picked up Inside today. gonna try and squeeze it in before the Celts game.

toggletoggle post by aaron michaelNLI at May 16,2008 6:15pm
I've just got a burned copy of Inside but I plan on getting the actual version.
So far, my "to buy" list for movies is:
Inside,
Eaten Alive(florida redneck feeding hookers to a giant alligator)
Tetsuo The Iron Man
Begotten(a film depicting the word "torment")
Lost Highway(uncut)
Edmond(think modern Falling Down)
Blood Diner(gore spectacular)
Amazing Planet(late 70s animated mind fuck)
And the original Hairspray

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at May 17,2008 9:38am
Edmond is a brutal movie. That ending!

Hail David Mamet!
