I've tried this before with words, so I'll let the music speak for itself. You dig, you get in touch.

play bass for Dour Cursiva.

I think you'd have a lot of fun doing that, and they are guitar-centric enough that you'd be able to play as complex as you'd like.

Yeah they're pretty good, but I'm not really into the whole hardcore thing. There's definitely some good riffs there though. It would have to be something pretty special to get me to play bass - I'm dying to play guitar on stage.

what are your influences (can't click the myspace right now)

Got any samples you can show me? If not at least name some bands closest in sound to what you're thinking.

toggletoggle post by josh_hates_you  at Apr 28,2008 3:43pm
Lincoln RI is about 10-15 minutes away. I play drums. No where near like the shit you programmed. (why does everyone program drum parts for flo mounier?) I been half assed looking for something do. Let me know if you wanna try out a sloppy drummer.

I like it, but I was hoping to do something with more energy. If you wanted to keep the sound of shroud but progress to something more intense I'd be down. Its kinda up to you - if shroud has found its sound, then I'm prolly not your guy, but if you're ever expanding your sound then I'd give it a shot. I hear you're a nice guy, btw.

There are no bands at this point really doing exactly what we have in mind but...
Think Zombie Apocalypse, shai hulud, bane and converge, influenced by progressive and ambient bands.

Hardcore in the sense that we will have a good lyrics/messages. But Progressive in song structure. Odd time riffs/transistions, ambience and jam/solo parts. Were Just not really into shredding for no reason, and we are definately not into sounding "brutal"

Give me a call if you want to discuss this in more detail

My friend and i are both very professional and dedicated.

Cool I'm down with what you said there. I'll call ya tomorrow or Wednesday when I got time, but for future cases, its usually not a good idea to post your phone # online, especially with the characters on this forum ;-)

Still looking... A bunch of the responses I've been getting have been 2 hour + drives away. I'm willing to commute, but not to NH. If someone likes what they hear on the myspace, but thinks they need to hear more, hit me up. I have more material that is just less polished.

We MAY be looking for a guitarist, like I said, but that's a big, big maybe. We jam in Cumberland.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at May 10,2008 3:20pm
what about playing acoustic

toggletoggle post by sean  at May 10,2008 5:48pm

levels are wicked low.

still gotta get my drum mics from upstairs and throw something together.

toggletoggle post by sean  at Jun 4,2008 2:21am
Yeah well the tracks aren't mastered nor gain maximized. If you're gonna record something new, feel free to show off your best stuff. FYI I'm a sucker for polyrhythms, weak beat snare hits, and other proggy drum techniques. If you record a new drum track to my stuff it'll prove you can play my stuff. Sounds redundant, but you'd be surprised. Feel free to write your own parts if you like. email me if you need a track without drums.

If you'd like to try a jam with the Ouch boys, throw me a note. We're in Boston.

toggletoggle post by voicesofthedead  at Feb 3,2009 4:06pm
I dont know if you'd be into our style but check out myspace.com/voicesofthedead and let us know if you'd be interested in trying out. Right now we practice North of boston but we're moving to the providence area soon.

"Crusher" was not a song, it was a compilation of random riffs that did nothing for the emotion or feel of the track, neither riff set up the next, the transitions were forced and awkward and down right made no sense.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Feb 5,2009 10:00am
it says rough instrumental. of course it's not a complete song. i think it was more a collection of ideas and if he smoothed out the transitions and refined it, he'd have a song there. i think it makes more sense than you give him credit for.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 5,2009 10:07am
alright, well, I'll admit that this guy came down to one of Herugrim's practices a while ago and jam one time. he's definitely got the potential to be in a decent band. i'd say give him a shot.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Feb 5,2009 10:25am
he responded to our ad looking for a new guitarist and he seemed like he'd be a good fit, but our old guitarist wanted to come back, so we brought him back. otherwise, i think we definitely would've jammed with him. someone should give him a shot.
