I'd like to start playing the market a bit and I've always wanted to try this...has anyone done anything with Etrade or something similar?

I had some in etrade, but the company got bought out.
I would suggest keeping your transactions to a minimum so that you don't get fees up the wazzu

i've been looking into this too. a friend at work is telling me to go with charles schwab.

Do the other like Schwab and Fidelity have comparable fees? That's pretty much what's going to seal it for me as to who to run with...but I'd also like to hear how online investment buying/selling works for others,,,
