Hmmm, so Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition just cancelled all their dates in the USA and Canada due to working visa bullshit. I guess they tried to tell Canadian customs they were just tourists...but they still had all their gear with them? I guess that didn't work out too well.

Hi Evan,
I have really bad news !
We were expelled from Canada at the montreal airport !
We passed the customs with success, but other customs officers were
waiting for us where we picked up our instruments. Then they asked us to
folow them at the immigration bureau, questionned us for the third time,
and as we told them we were only tourists seeing some friends in Canada,
they told us to wait at the dention area while they checked our
luggages… they also did some internet researches, then showed us a
freshly printed paper sheet where all the dates in Canada and us where
on…! They asked us « is that name’s saying something to you guys ? »
while showing us the SCD logo on the sheet… they told us then that we
can’t go there without a work visa, for doing these shows, that they
know we are a band on tour, that we made false declarations, so now, we
have to pay for our acts : « you go back to paris by the next plane and
you are expelled from Canada for a one year period, no negociations
possible ! »
They took us for the next six hours in a detention room, during this
time they took pictures of us like if we were drug dealers or so, and
later a custom officer came in and told us : « okay guys, i have good
news and bad news !
Good news is that there is a plane today, bad news is that this plane is
going to marseille (south of France, 700 miles from paris). Unless you
want to spend the next six days in the detention room to wait for the
next plane to paris, it is the best solution ! » so, then we had to wait
for another six hours in the detention room,
We finally took the plane to marseille, another 7 hours trip really
exhausting this time as you can imagine! Once arrived in marseille we
took the train to paris (another 600 euros flown away) and we’re just
arrived ! that was a fucking 10 000 miles trip in 24 hours ! So, things
are complicated now, i think we couldn’t get to the US either because we
lost a lot of money, (almost 7500$) we have records at the canadian
customs, and a beautiful « expelled without prejudice » stamped on our
passports ! so i guess trying coming to the US is suicide !
We are really sorry not coming in the US and not being able to play at
the MDF, we did everything we could and worked for this tour for almost
six month. you did a fucking great work and promotion and for all the
people who were coming for us, we appologize and we’re really sorry
again to disapoint them.
That was a waste of time, work and money we still can’t understand, i
guess the customs doesn’t give any shit about what they did and how much
we’ve lost by a simple stamp on our passports ! just to play music ! the
sentence is a little bitter.
now we probably won't see each ther before a long time, maybe for the
next album, hope to drink some beers with you really soon.

either way I still need to get in touch with my singer and guitarist about where this leaves us with the tour, everyone took time off of work and we rented a van, so... who knows...

Hello!
Thanks for the info, looks good, but we are two bands on tour - we play all US shows withg INGROWING from Czech Rep and we can dfo that show only with them. Probably we will travel in one car so conditions about 350USD are ok, but we also need sleeping place for 8 persons and some food. If this can be done then we are ok with playing in Mass 21st!

Even at $10 it's real unlikely the club will make $350 on a week night. You must go to shows in a different Boston where metal shows sell out all the time than I do. If I had more notice I could probably make it happen, but this show is happening in less than two weeks. |

It's just that I have zero money so I'm concerned that if for some reason the show doesn't do well enough that these bands are screwed. Maybe if they understand I will be giving them the entire door after the club takes their cut? I'm just trying to be not a zleazebag and not screw these guys over since they're coming from so far away. |

Hello!
350USD doesnt have to be guarantee - but i think 250 will have to, then 350 if tere will be enough money from the door -let me know if this is ok. We need those 250 to cover renting the van (or more probably two sedan cars instead) plus gas for them.
All other conditions from you seems to be very ok - thank you guys.Please dont forget about sleeping place for us - someone's couch at home will do,some cheap motel would be perfect;))).
