I haven't been THAT disturbed by a movie since Wolf Creek.

very fucking intense and harsh film.
breaking the fourth wall made it hard to suspend disbelief, but I left the theater with a horrible feeling.

plus I think John Zorn and The Boredoms are in the soundtrack (as Naked City?)

let me know if you actually sit through the whole thing.

That family getting snuffed in "Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer" is child's play compared to the sadism displayed in this movie.

I want to see this movie. I was about to rent the German one, but I heard the acting was really bad and I didn't feel like it even though that is a staple of most horror movies I watch. I feel like I would like this American one more.

all of the actors are SUPERB in this, and that's why it disturbed me so much

paradoxically, there are points in the script where the pyscho addresses the audience, so yeah you know you're watching a movie, but the rest of it is just--

SOOOOO fucked.

It takes a lot for a movie to frighten me, but I still feel like I have maggots crawling all over me from seeing this film.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Mar 19,2008 12:46pm
has anyone gone to this?

I want it to do well because it forced me to think about the horror genre

toggletoggle post by the_taste_of_cigarettes  at Mar 20,2008 11:59pm
I just saw the German one

wicked fucking boring

I kinda want to see the American one cause it A) looks a bit more impressively done and acted and B) seems to have almost some of the exact same shots, which is kinda cool that they could recreate that, even the overhead car scene.

they used the same house design and furnishings

some of the snot from her crying is CGI though

the DVD of the remake is out now.

you'll either love this movie or hate it. It's very polarizing and takes some big risks.
