I went to this yesterday and it was a lot of fun. The most impressive thing was that this was all organized over the internet and it still managed to pull well over 200 people at one point. The next protest will be on march 15th and I'll definitely be there again.

I was walking around boston when I was 17 with a friend and his gf. someone offered us a free personality test. we went to on of the bricks near where the reaworld was shot. they took us all into separate and I thought it was just ridiculous and a laugh. my friend's gf flipped out completely and we left.

don't get me wrong, but aren't they being like the crusaders, inquisition and every other oppressive group by attacking people for their faith?

scientology is not a religion, its a corporation. the people attacking scientology are not affiliated with any one religious group. so no, its not like the crusades or the inquistion where it was a faith vs faith conflict. second, this is completely nonviolent also unlike the crusades. finally, in case you haven't been paying attention the scientologists are the oppressive group. there about 500,000 of them in the US alone compared to the 5,000 or so people that showed up to protest yesterday around the world. they use their money and their legal department to strong arm people who even speak out against them. in fact, the main reason i felt like protesting yesterday was that they use legal pressure to violate the 1st amendment.

They're fucking everywhere. They lured me and my girlfriends in the Beacon st one when we were like 14 by saying they were doing free and "fun" personality tests. They told us we were at risk for suicide and needed their guidance. It was pretty funny.

i hate all religion, but this one in particular scares me. granted all of the others are a joke, but they at the very least have hundreds to thousands of years backing their claims. Scientology was created by a fucking sci-fi writer and taken seriously.
