I can't just pick one. They were all influential to me and I love them all.

Anthrax is maybe my favorite band ever, but I had to go with the Bay Area due to the stupid amount of amazing/influential/legendary bands from there.

Hmm... L.A. scene definitely had a different and more aggressive sound than the Bay Area. This seems a little incomplete. There's always something missing with most Bay Area bands for me. How about the Belo Horizonte scene? Sepultura, Mutilation, Chakal, etc.?

Texas had great Thrash with RIGOR MORTIS, DEAD HORSE and DEVASTATION.

Bay Area. NYC has some great bands with Anthrax, MOD, SOD, Overkill, and Carnivore but West coast had Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Testament, Exhorder, Forbidden, Vio-lence. Shit the list just goes on and on.

And fuck yeah to all those bands.

Rammer and Goathorn are also killer and from Canada.

I love RAMMER, have all their CDs.

There's also a band made up of guys from Rammer and Goathorn. I forget the name, though.

Anthrax is my favorite thrash band as well, but the Bay area's got the shit in the bag as far as overall great bands coming from there. All the bands mentioned thus far, as well as Possessed, Death Angel, Blind Illusion, and fucking SADUS!!!

P.S. I think you're thinking of Cauldron. Not as good as either Goat Horn or Rammer though.
