1100 pre-sales with ATR headlining? weird... also weird is I washed my hands in the bathroom here. that's the first time I have done that here ever. I was also pissing and some dudes waiting behind me started yelling out "mudvayne, slipknot, hatebreed!" I thought I was going to get the mallcore version of broraped.

what is up with soooo many bands saying "no flash" at the palladium? there is nothing but backlighting here. though im sure that it will be awesome for atr and chimaira, but we will see with the other bands.

I never feel endangered while pissing. If any threat were to approach me from behind, I could just turn around and repel it with my yellow laser beams.

Anyone that would attack you from behind in the bathroom would relish a pissing on. Not much of a deturrent if they want it.

once beloved: This is my second time getting to see them with lee. After 1/2 a song of using a 1/32 M fill flash, I got yelled at twice for using it. This is lame beyond belief as the lighting here is terrible. Oh we'll, no more crowd shots I guess. Anyhow, they sound a little better than last tim, I guess. For the most part it sounded the same. I think, being the opener, they were just rushing through as many songs as they could before finishing their time.

divine heresy: dino, tim yeung, that bass player from nile (who comletely read the nile thread here about the show with hypocrisy), and some singer that I don't know. It's really different from anything that everyone in the band (other than dino) have done before. To be honest, it's more like nu metal with good drumming. All the guys in this band are into good bands and all. But this just isn't my thing. I'm going to have to listen to some mp3's cause I can't believe that this collection of dudes would make something that I didn't like. I was expecting chimaira at worst and got something I liked less. I would almost call it damageplanesque. The singer did get the crowd to sing happy birthday to his sister who was selling their merch, but the last time I was up there looking for someone at their merch booth, no one was there

chimaira: the singer looks so much more serious with his shaved head. Still it's the same nu-metalish version of fear factory, but still a little bit heavier. They also always remind me of damageplan. The lighting for their set was near blazing. I was trying out a bunch of new settings on my camera, fingers crossed. There really wasn't much of an elaborate set up for them. It seems like they go down a notch every tour I see them on. I would have sworn they were headlining their tour before. Once the set was over, it looked like a ot of people turned and headed for the door. They will probably comeback for ATR. I must add that I always like at least 1/2 of their set. I can't say that I like all of their stuff or that I hate it all of it. they do always seem to squeeze a song or two that I like into each set. Music-wise, I like their older CDs better, but I'm actually liking their more humble stage presents. I think the switch from roadrunner to ferret changed them back from rockstars to musicians.

what I got from the original reading of this band, it's tim and dino's child. I know that people claim that tim does drumming for money.. and this band is a money maker.. idk. maybe the mp3s on their myspace are better.
someone tell me.

listening now and it's more like fear factory than I thought live. That drumming does not sound like yeung at all. Live, the drums sounded more like vital. It's almost like they used a drum machine or sequencer or something on that track... the triggers are completely different live.
