Here's some news: Earth Crisis is horrible.

toggletoggle post by Horror_Tang  at Dec 21,2007 11:02am
It was great when my buddy Shane tossed a dead rat through their van window about a decade ago.

toggletoggle post by DaveFromTheGrave  at Dec 21,2007 11:28am
They're alive? that's news to me.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Dec 21,2007 11:29am
I heard it's with Terror and Shai Halud.

I don't know how I feel about this. My guess is that I'll goto this, and feel like a douche for doing it.

Earth Crisis + dead rodents = guaranteed lulz

It's science.

I used to like them back around 2000-2001 when I was in high school, although I always thought the whole vegan/straightedge thing was kinda corny, but I was still first discovering extreme music and they were heavier than what everyone else in my school was listening to so I dug it at the time.

JUN JUN... JUN JUN... JUN JUN... JUN JUN... JUNJUNJUNJUNJUNJUNJUNJUN

STREET BY STREET! BLOCK BY BLOOOOCK! WE'RE TAKING IT ALL BACK!

Firestorm was the ONLY song from these guys that I ever liked. they had some decent moments on Destroy the machines, but other then that, they never really interested me. I was more into OLD Converge and Chokehold (The Canadian HC Band) back then.

Hahahaha, wow. Chokehold. I liked them better when they were Jud Jud.

(OK, they had their moments.)

damn i remember them from back in the day in a VFW basement in Copake, NY. I admit I loved that song but that was the only song I liked by this group. Little did i know they were militant dum dums, they blasted me because my dad at that time had "hunting dogs" in the pickup (a short hair pointer and a wirehair). He was picking me up (yeah i didn't drive yet) and I thought they were joking about their ramblings but boy what a bunch o tools!!! my dad told them to F off!!?!??! hahahaha

x NO TOLERANCE FOR WORK DOGS x

Earth Crisis was one of the bands that got me into straightedge, and later on one of the big reasons I lost my faith in it. All things considered they were pretty full of shit. Good music though.

I still wish I had that picture of Carl during his punk rock phase with shitty rotten teeth, nail polish and green spiky hair.

I feel like I'm in 2001. Ugh.

The one from the "Teens and their Bedrooms" book with the long pink hair and Budweiser poster is better.

I liked some of their stuff back in the day. Nothing amazing, but songs like Firestorm did it for me and introduced me to Hardcore. Otherwise the whole militant SxE/Vegan scene I wanted no part of and thought it was just as retarded as it still is to this day.

toggletoggle post by sxealex   at Dec 22,2007 12:31am
their ideas are pretty screwed up but they had 2 albums which I enjoyed at the time. (Firestorm and gommorah's season.)

toggletoggle post by sxealex   at Dec 22,2007 12:32am
wow listening to it now... its really not heavy at all? weird how one remembers things.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Dec 22,2007 12:33am
I'm really really glad I've never heard this band before.

toggletoggle post by sxealex   at Dec 22,2007 12:37am
its pretty creative writing on those 2 albums I think. Id give em 2 or 3 listens.

Me and my Dad have condemned quite a few people for being gay, but anyone into Earth Crisis is beyond gay. We might as well send Liza Minnelli to hell to sing for eternity to your gay souls. Wait, you might like that.

yea man, i play guitar. ive seen your post a couple times looking for people. unfortunately im too busy with my current band (dour cursiva) and my job to do anything else. good luck though man. if your band turns out like you want it to i will be very eager to hear it your list of influences are pretty spot on with the bands i listen to. let me know when things get off the ground. maybe we can hook up some shows together.
