Christians roasted in a stave church...
but on a serious note...
A swiss and turkey sanwich...with the thanksgiving turkey, none of that processed crap...with cranberry juice...and milk...
or... Deep fried Cod, that I caught myself...still the best meal I ever had. |

i LOVE a traditional polish meal, which i only get to eat at easter and christmas. FROWN. but anyways, heres some pictures to completely drown out the rest of this thread.
pierogi (dumplings, all sorts of fillings)
pyzy z miecem (meat-stuffed potato dumpling, cooked with bacon hunks)
barzcz (beet soup with meat dumplings, great with sour cream)
zupa orgokawa (dill pickle soup)
bigos (hunter's stew, national dish of poland)
golumpki (rice and beef stuffed cabbage, in tomato sauce)
kompot (polish spiced fruit punch)
kotlet schlabawy (pork cutlet)
and desert...
makowiec (poppyseed cake)
ponzcki (polish doughnut, filled with rose jelly) |
|
Chicken, cheese and broccoli casserole with crushed Ritz crackers on top. My mom used to make it. Unbelievable. |
|
...after i get stoned, anything that is either put in front of me or is hiding in my cabinents. |
|
4 cheese ravioli with my grandmother's meatballs and meat sauce and some fresh mozzarella before she decided to go low fat with everything. Then her cannoli...also before she decided to go low fat with everything. Damn Italians. |
|
tomxnli - i could not pronounce any of the things you listed. |

yeah me neither but goddamn that food looks delicious. |
|
agreed. speaking food i'm gonna go eat some. and by some, i mean everything left in this house. |
|
haha it's cool, i'm polish and i can barely pronounce it without asking my mom first like some 4 year old. and it is pretty awesome, polish food is really rich and flavorful. its a shame that there aren't really any polish restaurants around this area. oh well.
but i tell you, the best part? totally the poppyseed cake. have a slice or two with a hot cup of tea after dinner, and it'll lay you out like a prizefighter because poppies naturally contain trace opiates. and before anyone jumps in with it: OH NOES HEAR ARE COM TEH STRIGHT EGDE POLIECE!!1!!111!one |
