SRLSY. I just (finally) got around to beating MGS2, last night (And, BTW, did anyone else not know what the fuck was going on towards the end, there? Was he in a simulation, in that part where he's all naked, and the ground is sprouting random hexes?), and immediately started up on Metal Gear (for NES) and MGS3, both within hours of each other. And I wanna go grab MGS3: Subsistence, 'cause it's got the Metal Gear sequel that was never released in the US. (Snake's Revenge was from a different creative team, with no involvement from Hideo Kojima, and isn't canonical with the series. The actual MG2 was only released in Japan on the MSX2.)

Do I have a problem?

I don't think you have a problem. I love the MGS series so much, and i was not aware that the Subsistence had the sequel on it. Very interesting. MGS3 however, was not nearly as good as MGS2, thats by far the best one. Hard to follow, but so so amazingly great.

Rev, the end of MGS3 is seriously an hour and a half long, with maybe 15 minutes of play sprinkled throughout. I spent forever trying to clear the last boss, and then my GF and I just sat there going "WTF?!?" for the feature-length movie that followed. Redonkulous.

i was thinking of buying MGS2 for the xbox, when i saw it for 5 dollars. I've never played the games before.

My friend owns a limited edition version of Metal Gear Solid 3. The game comes with a bonus disc which plays out all the cut scenes in movie format; it's roughly about three hours long.

After about 5-6 hours of boozing and rocking the SNES, we decide to put this on. My mind was blown. It was like the worst James Bond film ever made. My friend passed out within the first five minutes and I was completely sober within ten. Then I promptly drove home.

i beat all of the bosses in metal gear solid 3 with the tranquiler gun except for the old sniper guy who just died because i didn't play the game for a week.

PlayStation 3. I pre-ordered the new bundle pack with the 80 gig PS3 and MGS4. Should be sweet. Finally upgrading from the PS2 I've had for 7 or 8 years.

Viking was cool. Conan was cool too. Medal of Honor SUCKED as did Turning Point.

turning point was horrible.
Uncharted was awesome, graphics wise. The darkness was cool.

My bundle came at like 7:30 AM today. Was not expecting that. Either way, I'm installing the damn system update, signing up for PSN, and then playing either MGS4 or GTA4.

yes, I played the one in the 80's, then the one of the PS and then had to buy a PS2 the next day to get the next game and play it. I don't think I played snake eater.

I got to the second act, but kept nodding off during the story line about whomever doing something about something some where and then I hit X to see scenes from earlier games.

you can watch that scene again from the mission briefing in the main menu, you can also play as the mark ii and collect items and shock that girl.

just beat the act two.
beat the octopus boss with the tranquiler gun/ sniper rifle and then got her face as a camo mask.

but i missed the trophy and already saved over the boss battle.... egh.

you get dolls of the bosses you beat with non lethal weapons then before you beat the second form you gotta find the doll

Just finished it yesterday, and I'm absolutely blown away.
I am going through it again on big boss extreme. trying for no kills, no alerts, no camo, co continues and finished in 5 hours or less. We'll see how that goes.

I'm pretty sure I have to grab him and stab him with the syringe, but I don't know how to tell if a weapon his CQC Grab.

I can not believe that I just found out that you can shoot the geckos in the legs with tranqs and they fall down.

MGS2 is one of my all-time favorite games, along with Super Metroid and Chrono Trigger... i'm working on getting a PS3 just for MGS4. The Gamecube remake of the first MGS was excellent also, but nothing beats the epic MGS2.

ok, I started act 5 again last night. I can't get back into the game. I think I'm going to let my brother beat it and then I will go back to it.

I loved MGS for PS. I've always wanted to play MGS2 & 3, but never had a PS2. (My bro had one, but he toted it away to college). I just stole my girlfriend's PS2 though and started replaying MGS for no reason. I was in the mall yesterday and picked up MGS2 & 3 for a combined $16. Win.

I'm playing MGS2 right now. Hopefully I'l have the time to actually finish these and make it to 4 so I can shit my pants.

MGS2 was fucking awesome but a huge pain in my balls to beat. Nothing has ever made me curse at the TV more than Metal Gear boss fights (all the way back to NES).
