MORIFADE US RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED

Philadelphia: Candlelight Records confirms March 9 as the US release date for the new album from Sweden's MORIFADE. Titled Domi<>nation, it is the second album from the rising heavy/progressive metal band.

Loosely based on the classic and timeless novels of H.G. Wells (1984) and Aldous Huxley (Brave New World), Domi<>nation will be the first album from the band properly available in the US. It offers a heavier sound than the band's previous efforts - recordings that have, despite the high cost of imports, found a steadily growing gream of US curiosity.

Vocalist Stefan Petersson explains, "the lyrics combine the two distinct but relevant themes of these incredible novels. In doing so, the overall album paints a dark, surrealistic portrait of what the future would be like in a world where you can't trust anyone as even the thoughts in your head may be controlled. To us, it is a frightening reality that we are only seeing the beginning of with expanding surveillance and worldwide terror plots."

Together since 1992, MORIFADE have five albums to their recording credit. Featuring former members of Tad Morose, the six-piece has consistently built upon a varying and gifted musical palette that has come to impress fans around the globe. And while many point to their progressive/traditional rock/metal elements, MORIFADE equally impress with their powerful and often aggressive song structure.

The US release will contain bonus tracks only available on the limited digipak pressing. Final track listing for Domi<>nation is confirmed as: Parallels, A Silent Revolution, The Second Coming, Words I Never Speak, Clarity (Fragments of a Dream), Panopticon, The Rising, Erase, Memory's End, Cast a Spell*, As Time Decides*, Tomorrow Knows*, Dance With the Devil*, Judas*, Lost Within a Shade (video)*.

Candlelight Records, with offices in Philadelphia and headquartered in London, is distributed exclusively in the US by Caroline Distribution; in Canada by PHD Canada; throughout the rest of the world by Plastichead Music Distribution.
