Thanks to my good buddy Dan, aka Dankill on here, and Newbury Comics, I got to see "Hatchet" tonight at one of those Red Carpet dealies. Dan won 2 tickets, so he picked me to go, which I cannot thank him enough for.

Anyway, everyone who considers themselves a fan of horror movies needs to go see this when it comes out on Friday. If you don't like it, you have massive amounts of sand in your vagina and probably don't deserve to live. Nothing personal to those who don't like it, but it has to be said. This movie is perfect for fans of 80s gore and slasher films; it pays homage to said genres but is a bit more clever and has a handful of good jokes. Plus, the dude who played Bud on The Cosby Show is in it, so how can you go wrong?

Newbury Comics shirt on the guy throughout the movie, huh?

I'm hoping to see it again on Friday, but time may not permit. Either way, I'm going to see it again at some point.

I wish everyone could get the same introduction from the writer/director Adam Green, since there are a few inside jokes that most people won't get without the introduction. All you have to remember is that Adam Green went to Hofstra (no clue if that's the correct spelling) for college, and that the director of photography's toddler is named Sam Barrett.

I think there's only about 10 minutes of the movie that you don't see the Newbury Comics shirt, haha.

Yep, the guys has the shirt on all through the movie.
HATCHET was awesome, brutal as fuck and had some solid funny parts.
Go see this and support a local boy done good, as well as indie horror.
