I have a couple spots left on a shred competition that will take place in Worcester on Friday, Sept 7th. Contestants will perform 2-4 minutes alone onstage to win over the crowd and impress the judges. Winner takes home a cash prize & more. This will be part of an overall shred-themed event featuring local bands and guitarists from the local metal scene, finished with a performance by shred legend Joe Stump.
Interested guitarists should email shredfest2007@gmail.com as soon as possible. If I don't know you personally, or to your knowledge have never seen you perform, include a link to where I can hear/see your shred ability. A few conditions for eligibility apply, email for more info.

yea chris said seen as how 3HM is playing then hed pretty much be excluded from the whole shred contest thing, which kinda sucks cause I could totally see him doing this. I am in the contest and that also sucks cause i aint no substitute for chris K!  |

Yeah it could be taken as an unfair advantage if someone gets to rip it up onstage for a half hour with their band, then they compete in the shred-off right after. Which unfortunately excludes anyone in 3HM, Polaris, and the soon-to-be-named 3rd band that will be opening the show. They can take a shot at the reigning champion at the next one anyways... |

OK I also need one more band to open this. Not really looking for a death/black metal band. Must fit the overall theme, in other words, have one or two kickass lead guitarists who can shred it up. Ability to draw some people in Worcester helps.

i dont think it would be unfair at all, just judge solely on guitar playing and not from his band (i dont think thats hard at all).
only reason im putting up a stink is cus im pretty damn sure kessaris would be a contendah. |
