New site? Maybe some day.
Ok, I went to some discography site.
Damn, I didn't realize they had so many albums. Who knew?? |
SSCCRREEAAMMIINNGG, Screaming for vengeance. |
the cd where good bands covered JP? |
Rob Halford keeps calling my house because he wants to be in VBF. Our flair for all things flamboyant and leather drives his libido wild! |
damn most of them on that list kick ass... its hard to choose one.
who's gonna make the maiden thread? lol |
Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders of The Faith were the first 2 that I got, my faves.
I almost went for Hellbent, but Screaming for Vengeance won out |
I would go with either Sad Wings or Stained Class. |
This is completely impossible for me
If I had to pick just one CD to have, it'd be Unleashed in the East but I don't know if that's cheating. Not on there anyway...neither is Angel of Retribution, which was great IMO. Sad Wings of Destiny, Screaming/Defenders and Painkiller are all awesome in their completely different ways. Stained Class and Hellbent have their own appeal too...how the fuck would you pick, haha |
yes, Unleashed in the East would actually be my pick but live albums shouldn't count. |
if I could just have 1 metal track to listen to for the rest of my life it might be "Victim of Changes" off that...although i guess i'd be setting myself up for a bit of a melancholy existence |
FALL TO YOUR KNEES AND REPENT IF YOU PLEASE
Stained Class all the way |
I picked Painkiller although Screaming...is a close 2nd |
Are you people who voted for Screaming just picking it because its what got you into Priest?
Stained Class is so much heavier, less commercial, and just plain better. Not a bad track on there.
You've Got Another Man Cumming alone makes Screaming at least bi-sexual if not toally gay. |
Stained Class, no question. |
Painkiller and Sad Wings of Destiny. |
unleashed in the east should be on here. But in place of that sin after sin is the best becuase it is a strong album all the way through with no arena rock filler that you find on thier 80's albums. Even the slower acoustic songs are pretty cool. The whole album has a good flow and ends really well with "dissident aggressor." |
Oh yeah and SFV kinda sucks. The title track and electric eye are the only good tracks. The rest is garbage. Just goes to show that there is no accounting for taste. |
i'd probably say sin after sin, because starbreaker is the best JP song ever. |
Angel of Retribution is a fantastic album. |
Defenders of the Faith, Screaming for Vengeance, Painkiller= my three favorites. Can't narrow it down |

Wrong wrong wrong
Devils child kills, fucking take these chains rules, the whole album start to finish is great
Yeah, I agree, but I do skip "You've Got Another Thing Coming" when I play the CD. |
I like You've Got Another Thing Coming. Yeah, it's arena rock...but I love good arena rock, and you know Priest did it with an element of class that few bands can touch (even Turbo!! though ok, i'll admit they slipped a bit around there..) |
Hahahaha, I saw this, came in, noticed that the idiot who made it wrote "Stained Glass" instead of Stained Class, voted for that one anyway, and then realized that I was the idiot who made it... |
Judas Priest is the only gay man that gets a free pass. |
Oh yeah, and I didn't put Unleashed In The East on there because I only did studio albums I guess, even though Unleashed In The East does kick a lot of ass (but I didn't have it at the time), and I didn't put Angel Of Retribution on there because it was still more than a year away at the time. |
I love British Steel and Stained Class, but I couldn't not vote for Painkiller. |

haha Judas Priest isnt a man, but Rob Halford is. Youre also forgetting Freddie Mercury. |
oh. Haha. Guess I didn't look at the date of the OP.
Freddie Mercury, whether you like him or not, definitely did NOT get a pass for being gay... |

He got the AIDS. |
Unleashed in the East is a studio album. It just has fake crowd noises dubbed in.

I honestly can't tell if you are joking or not. I'm gullible. Is this true? |

Lots of live albums are recorded like that.
It is a letdown to find this stuff out, I know. You think you're listening to a magnifincent concert performance only to find out it was probably one of several takes in a studio with crowd noise dubbed in over it. |
yes its true. thats the one i wouldve voted for too if it were up there though. |

I knew lots of live albums are recorded like this, but just didn't know that this one was. Oh well. Still an awesome record. |
I think defenders is better than screaming. |

same thing with slayer's "Live Undead", and type o negative's "the origin of feces", even though that one was intentionally done because they wanted to piss off the label |
I had to vote Painkiller because it was the first album that I really liked by JP all the way through. I loved some of Screaming, a couple songs off British Steel & Hellbent, generally most Priest albums had a great selection of songs, but they got old quick. Painkiller just shreds all the way through. Plus, Scott Travis is awesome, and this is his debut in the band after Dave "I molest retarded kids" Holland split. |
well at the time I voted, I went with Stained Class.
As of tonight my top 3 would be,
Hell Bent For Leather
Sin After Sin
Defenders of the Faith
Judas Priest fucking rules! |
So hard to decide. British Steel is good times, as is Stained Class. It seems like on almost every album there are a couple tunes which are damned good- and that's why JP rules. |
point of entry then sin after sin |
man this is tough...British Steel has one of the best underrated songs on there "Rapid Fire" but Screaming and Defenders were so heavy yet accessable...not an easy choice! |
I went with Painkiller, but I could've gone with any number of other albums.
And Rapid Fire kicks ass, but I like the Demolition bonus track remake of it much better. |
