This show is going to be fun!

I'm sure to be there. I've seen Into Eternity when they opened for Dream Theater and they alone would be worth going. Edguy I haven't seen but from their CDs they should be awesome.

toggletoggle post by I_am_not_me   at Sep 11,2007 10:14pm
I've seen Into Eternity a billion times, Edguy once (Which is enough), and I'm not crazy enough about Echoes of Eternity to plop down the cash for this.

Do you have a more detailed timetable for this?

Hard to get up Rt 3 on a Friday evening during rush hour...

troll: "we're the opening band that none of you will remember" they played pretty well. Some of their songs are starting to grow on me. But there is nothing in this whole show cooler than the demon head on the singer's gauntlets. Those are awesome. The front row is already packed up. Weird.

chapter 50: a band i dont think ive ever heard of. The singer looked like time (aild) and the stage right guitarist like ken susi (unearth and personal friends with porphyria). They seemed really really rocky on stage. Not rocky like "oh man, check out my sweet riffages", but more like that they had that "what are we doing?" look on their faces. They also sort of looked like they practiced head banging that playing. You can probably chaulk it up to inexperience with playing on a stage. Also, the front row was like 99% edguy fans.

i hate all bands that have numbers in their names.

mortis deveia: this was the first time that I've seen them with out caitlyn. Now that they are a sausage party on stage, I hear thee strippers next door arent a into them. The new guy works fine on stage and it's the same songs, but it's just a different dynamic on the stage. It will take a while to get use to the new singer's wicked accent. For their last song, some other guy got up on the stage and sang with the new singer.

toggletoggle post by DIE-NLI at Sep 14,2007 10:16pm
Aaron, you don't recognize the singer? it's the ex-singer from Dusk Raven, Andrew.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 14,2007 10:24pm
a band that i saw twice 4 years ago? no no i dont.
but now that you say that, doi.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 14,2007 10:27pm
Echos of Eternity: they sounded really good. I mean the music is really good and tight, i just dont really like the vocals. They didnt seem to mesh into the instruments. It was just placed on top like the foam on top of a $8 mochachino chiller. The singer kept throwing this open hand gesture that looked like she was throwing a dice in a D&D game. Just the subliminal motion to make the average D&D playing basement dweller in the crowd really dig your band. The rest of the guys on stage didn't move very much. I think they are used to the crowd just staring at the female singer. they just play.

light this city: i thought they had gottena new singer, but once I got to the other side of the stage, I knew it was the same one. This band is really realy weird on a stage like this with no moshing. This band sort of loses something when the fans aren't right up there in their faces. They have a new CD out, but i dont think i ever got a copy of it from prosthetic. The crowd reaction was a little weird for them. People dug it, but there were plenty of people just there for power metal. I was cool talking with the drummer, ben
*could some one pick up that name I dropped*

into eternity: You know what the drummer didnt talk about? Mark Fucking Richards. They sounded a lot better than they did at the show in boston. Still a butt load of things that looked liked they chapped tim's ass, but nothing too bad. Would it be a into eternity show with out problems? I think not. I figured out why everyone says that these guys sound terrible live, guitar volume on the different channels. It makes on of the guitars sound like they dropped out. Still, they play it perfect, but the volumes are messed up. The crowd really loved these guys.

Does IE still play most of the older tracks, or is it all just the new shit?

toggletoggle post by DaveFromTheGrave  at Sep 15,2007 11:11am
I went to this show when it was at the webster, and one of the local bands was called exiting eternity. That's three "eternity" bands at one show.

Do these bands bring their own mixer? Edguy seems to have one, but I didn't look who mixed IE.

toggletoggle post by neverpurified  at Sep 15,2007 12:27pm
There was a different guy tonight. The guy they usually have at Mark's is the old soundguy from club 125; but there was some bald guy last night, but as you said, he's probably the soundguy for the tour

toggletoggle post by uOpt at Sep 15,2007 12:49pm
The bald guy mixed some bands yesterday, I've seen Edguy was mixed by some older guy. I haven't seen who screwed up IE, hence the question.

Don't get me wrong, I think IE complains too much about sound, but yesterday they sure had a point

I really wanted to go see Edguy (I had to work), but from the last CD and Tobias' new look I assumed they might be pretty gay now. Was I right?

damn... cameras really do catch the true essence of ones soul...

I unfortunately had to run out before Edguy because when I checked up on a friends party he said that somehow the Dishwasher had ended up being set on fire...

You're the Asian metalhead I see at every mark's showplace concert.

one of the many faces of concerts that I see all the time

along with those fucking sonata people, these same two girls and guy go to every concert I'm at and hold on to the front rail for their lives from the beginning of the show til the end and at the end they always get everything that is thrown out to the audience

I remember one show at the palladium sonata arctica literally handed them their drum sticks, set list, and guitar picks.

I'll have to find that picture of them somewhere.

I didn't want to be the first one to say, but meh.

Musically they were weak. Good singing, sure, both lead and from 3 backup vocals. But I don't think song variety was there, the instrumentalists didn't show anything particularly impressive, most of the other bands were better technically. Music way too straightforward, think Scorpions divided by a factor 10.

Then there is that whole entertainment effort. I don't really like that audience animation and sing-along thing, and they were overdoing it, badly. I didn't make it to the end of their show.

And "Weisswurst" is Bavarian, not German...

I haven't been to the middle east...ever, I never hear of any bands going there.

Palladium is getting Amon Amarth in December, with the faceless.
