gets a meh overall from me. Some of the grooves on the CD were pretty fuckin bad. i probably need to give it a few more spins before i get to caught up in that thinking.

It is. The vocals came out great. everything else, meh.

never really liked these guys, even back when i was a huge death metal fan.

i fucking love malevolent creation, and this new album is pretty damn good. i wasn't expecting anything amazing, just the usual malevolent creation stuff. i don't know what you're thinking grant...some of the grooves are fucking sick (especially on dawn of defeat and hollowed). to each his own i suppose.

I need to listen to it a few more times, there are some riffs i absolutely hate (The first one in Cauterized). Once they getting into the malevolent blasting feel stuff, its awesome. I expected more out of the hoffmann/culross combo i guess.
