I hate all music. And I know I've mentioned this before but... I met Pantera at an autograph signing in Boston years ago. I was something like number 978, and when I got to the front of the line Dime (even though he had been there for like 6 hours signing records for turds all day) was still the nicest dude ever to me, and greeted me with a huge smile and a handshake. I don't know why anyone would ever want that dude dead.

I respect Dwyer's taste in music more than anyone else's. there isnt really anyone i could go up to and talk about brutal death metal and then go into obscure funeral doom bands then into black metal and so on.

i even agree with him on the Pantera debate. over-rated to the max. they didnt do anything that actual thrash bands all ready didnt do. they were the birth of Nu-metal. when i was younger and listened to Metallica and Megadeth and Slayer and Cannibal Corpse everyday... i didnt listen to Pantera because i couldnt get into them. they werent heavy enough or didnt have enough melody or whatever.

i owned Far Beyond Driven but i never really listened to it (got it as part of a trade). my best friend at the time even listened to Pantera and tried getting me to like them and i just couldnt like it. i like it a little more now but i still wont go "hey... lets toss on some Pantera!"


unless i was at a BBQ... then it would feel "right"... but i wouldnt be actually listening to it...
