autonym: they were louder than I expected. Some of it reminded me of nations of ulysses. This was the last day of the tour so there was a bit of silliness going on on the stage. Very interesting. I was on one side of the stage for the whole thing cause the othe side was all equipment. Otherwise, I would have been in the trampling path of these dudes as they rushed out into the audience over and over again.

now, it's time for the 2 bands that weren't on the tour.

this room seems more like the storage room beside the bathroom than an actual place to place. obriener will feel at home cause of the pee/urinal smell this place has.

I need to find a better place to stand

hydronaut: I can't remember if I've seen them or not. I was definitely thinking of intronaut when I was guessing at what they would sound like. Totally different. Sort of like bury the needle and motherboar mixed together. More rocky that stoney though I think the drummer probably has a massive sound to his drums when they record. Just my guess though. the singer tipped right over in front of me. he tripped over a monitor and was laid flat out. that's what you get for double fisting beers on stage.

esoteric, the: when they started off, I thought to myself "rich horror isn't going to like this." I looked over and he was bopping his head with the music. Either he was drunk enough or he actually like the music. They we a bit less punk sounding than the track I heard on myspace. The vocals from what I remember were more like bugs and rats (or maybe that was clouds.. Rrr I listened to so many things today). From what I remember this is what they sounded like at metalfest. People really got into it. There was even a bunch of moshing. Unfortunately the guitarist stage right had his head blow out on him. The band paused for a while, waiting for him to fix it or get another head, but it didn't happen so they played one more of their tracks and then everyone danced around as they played a misfits cover. I think they were dancing.. Well, it was either that or they were hugging. Hugging like people do in LA. Did I mention that richhorror's moving to LA? Many hugs for him! (yes, I know that they guys are from KS not CA, but there are many people from LA in the crowd.) I was told to type that the misfits cover was terrible. I will remind everyone that everyone does a terrible misfits cover including the misfits.

Octave Museum: they were a little too 70's for my taste. This band would totally have fit on that "freedom rock" CD that was on TV years ago. It was very adult rock. The vocal harmonies totally reminded me of someone... I just don't remember who right now. I think one of the guys from clouds and one from hydronaut. At this point, I decided that I needed to go move my car closer. It was way over in kenmore sq.

clouds: they are playing their set as fast as possible. Or so they say... People weren't just hammer by this point, they were shit fucking faced. They played a cover song (i think)... It sounded like the wedding preseant, but I dnt really know. They said something about it, but I was busy at the time. People got crazy and dumped over the monitors on to the band, their pedals, microphones, etc.. And the worst part wasn't anything broken, it was all the spilt beer. Yeesh! they played 2 encore tracks. The last was a cover of johnny thunder's "I wanna be loved (by you)" and the crowd swirled around. The end of their set was the end of their tour and all the members hugged on staged and lead everyone in a chant of "USA USA USA" which is the most iconic was to end anything. As amatter of fact, I've often chanted a couple of hearty "USA" 's after finishing numerous things. Like big rides and um.. marathons.. And um... good long pees... And um... Joints. No wait, that was "JAH MAY CAH"
