I don't know how many of you have seen this, but it is the fucking balls.

What are some of your thoughts?

can someone tell me the name of the song that plays in the preview and who plays it?

toggletoggle post by immortal13 at Apr 1,2007 10:42am
I have no idea, but I can send you the motion picture soundtrack. It's all music from the movie. All of the real ambient stuff. Makes me wanna grab a battle axe and go to war.

Movie was amazing.

I feel like the odd man out but, I was not really impressed with this movie. Some of the facts were changed or just left out completely. There were originally 1300 men fighting not 300. But, only 300 were spartans. Of course it wouldn't be a hollywood success without the comic book graphics. The guy knows his shit and I respect him but not my thing. I guess I just like realistic history without the huge rhinos and mammoths. Best thing about this movie was the one line that was actually spoken during the battle. "Our arrows will blot out the sun", "then we will fight in the shade". Beautiful.

xerxes is 'Paulo' from last weeks 'lost'.

It's an adaption of a graphic novel. Obviously it's not going to be 100% historically accurate. It's entertainment, not a documentary. Enjoy the gore and beautiful cinematography.

The true historical battle can be seen on History channel, and is quite different.

There weren't 300 men fighting in the movie either. There were 300 Spartans, but they met up with a couple hundred Acadians (in the movie).

I'm an asshole, I need to go see this. The way it's looking from here is that I probably won't see it until it is available to rent.

it was good
the random goat and when the guy with all the tribal shit came out i was kinda took off guard i really didn't know what movie i was actually seeing, after seeing all the comic book nerds there i kinda realized that it was based on the graphic novel which i had not read.i thought it was going to be on the actual history of the spartan's and shit. after i figured that out, i was impressed with the presentation and the overall feel. good movie

I understood that it was based on the novel which was based on true events. But, not only did I think the cinematography hurt the movie I also didn't care for much of the actually killing parts. Not very graphic, just kinda weak. I didn't read the novel or see Sin City so I don't know much of that background. I guess it just wasn't my kind of movie. Everyone I know thought it was great.
About the 300 Spartans schtick-Why is the movie called 300 if there were 1300 fighting for the same cause. Because the whole premise is to retain Sparta? okay, but no. Just me being difficult.
