I ended up feeding both my cats the tainted food that has already killed at least 9 cats, and has many more on dialysis.

Since my Maine Coon is a fat hog, he got WAY sicker than the little runt.
Never seen cats puke like that. Ive seen them rocket out hairballs and shit, but this was like REAL puke.

I feel bad for the guy, hes all nappy and sick, and is scheduled to goto the vet tomorrow for ball chopping, but I dunno if theyll do it if hes still sick.
Any ideas?

thanks to me I buy specialty cat food that the vet first recommended and gave me for free, supposed to be better for them and now i buy it at the pet store.

science diet dry food is what i use

That sucks, no we don't feed wet food to our dogs or cats, dry only. I believe only some wet foods were recalled.

carina and my babies we never spoiled with wet food. I refused to feed it to them and when she bought some (cause it was free) I almost flipped!

this is only from wet food right? None of my cats eat wet food. Two of them get the $1 MB shit and the other gets the $25 Hills from the vet.

i spoil them with treats and they don't like wet food so thank goodness!

my family has never given a pet wet food, so we're in the clear, although it scared the shit out of me when i heard eukanuba was one of the brands recalled (we use the dry eukanuba).

I only give my cats wet food when I get a free sample in my bag of dry food hahah...it's like a treat for them. I buy my cats Purina Indoor Formula and that brand wasnt recalled...

ya its even in the high end foods like Iams, eukanuba....etc aas well as the cheaper stuff.

My cat is at the vet now, and the only way to know if hes fucked, is to spend 80 bucks on bloodwork, and 50 to do it.

Iams was high end 10-15 years ago, then a different company took it over and it's now shit they sell in supermarkets. I wouldn't feed Iams to anything. I have a 16 1/2 year old cat who's had CRF (Chronic Renal Failure) for about 2 years, so if it's caught early enough it can be treated, but her disease is from natural aging, I don't know how much they can do for an animal that has kidney failure due to poisoning.

I just tossed a can of Mighty Dog...it says just the pouches were recalled but I'm not taking any chances. Normally I only feed my cat and dog dry stuff. The dog gets Beneful and the cat has the Purina Indoor formula.

PowerK, someone I work with had issues with their cat...kidney failure and they have to give their cat an IV EVERY DAY! Anyhow, they are part of the class action suit and even their vet said not to settle!!! So you should find a different vet if yours wasn't helpful. You should be part of the class action suit.
