Id like to add that little Anthony has joined yet another band , a hardcore band to be exact. So theres a good possibility that Coffin Birth and Dreaded Silence will be bringing in some serious breakdowns for this show.
castledoomerown: Are you going to be in another band after coffin birth?.
PsyComa129: no i will kill myself afterwards
castledoomerown: O really kill yourself afterwards ok
Jeez, looks like I won't have trouble getting rid of cupcakes this time around. Last time I brought cupcakes to a show, everyone was all "WTF?! Cupcakes? Uh... no".
I dont know if I'll be able to stomach any alcohol at this show after how much I will have drank the night before. I'll be lucky if I can stand up straight while we're playing.
supplication: I thought this was the band from PA or IL who toured with mutilation. Turns out they are from my backwoods area, NH. They were death metal. You couldn't really hear the guitar or the kick very well, but they sounded pretty good. A few headbangers found their way up front. unfortunantely for the band, they would get pulled away to eat cupcakes.
coffin birth: nash was a bit crazy on the stage. I think he ended up knocking anthony's mic out fairly early in the set. A song or so later, I was thinking that anthony's guitar was gone and then I saw him and the sound guy putting the mic back in place. that made everything sound a million times better. 1/2 way through their set, all of the dudes took their shirts off. This put rich horror into a frenzy. He was corky moshing all over everyone. After they finished their last song, anthony called out a breakdown and everyone moshed the house including sinistas as they played some juggjuggs..
Awesome show tonight and everything else. Extra special thanks to Granny and Rich for bringing the tasty treats. Rich made my night by throwing me on the stage and repeatedly punching me and just being hilarious. Oh yes, and Jeff's stories about nearly killing people were both enlightening and entertaining.
i had so much fun at the show. the bands rocked, the crowd was rowdy, the booze was flowing, and the mood was great. the sound guy did a good job and was a really nice guy. it was great meeting some new people. thanks to the reverend and everyone else who took pictures. thanks to matt from pgm and nick vitale for recording audio and videotaping the show. thanks to anders for making it happen and thanks to rich and granny, or kelly as she likes to be called, for bringing those tasty cupcakes. you are as sweet as you are beautiful (that was to rich, not kelly).
GODDAMMIT! No one ever actually says YES when I beg for rides, I didn't even bother checking yesterday. Oh well. I would have had to come to the show with 6 bags of laundry, my weekend bag, and all the shit my mom gave me. That would have been inconvenient.
it will be awesome. i hope we can get some people to actually come down to the studio and watch us. i don't know if i'll be able to authentically rock without a live audience.
legions of the dying: The were pretty good. I honestly didn't know what to expect. Sort of slowish blackdeath. Some parts reminded me of morbid angel, but just as many reminded me of enslaved. They even had an oh-so-evil demon skull on one of the cabs (as seem om the pictures on rttp).
Dreaded Silence: their set was craziness. Ken never took his shirt off (even though I yelled at him to). This disappointed the moshing masses more than anything. There was a lot more of the corky moshing going on and everyone there was just picking up some little guy and plowing him into the ground over and over again. at some point he went down for the count. the band didn't even stop playing. He was lead out, but returned a minute later to rage. The floor was crazy. all those huge bodies moving made me a little nervous to cross. The thing about thier set that pissed me off was that I spent all this time making it look like Sinistas had his hat on during the set, but after I got it almost right, he put the hat on. All my work was for not!
This show was great and all, but it seems like the Skybar is getting trashier. I remember when that place seemed "upscale".
