Anyone have any opinions on them? It's pretty much a foreign JB knock off. I am ditching one in favor of a dimarzio super distortion pup. I really dig the HB102 a whole lot, but the one thing driving me nuts are how it doesn't quite pick up the harmonics the way I like.

kinda good, kinda meh. whats the guitar in question? i hope the guitar is mahogany, i cant imagine a super distortion going in anything else.

heh DK2. I know, bad combo. I orderd an X2N though. Once I take the pickup out for the DK2 I plan to throw it into my booty fab les paul where it should stay for a while.

it's a shitty pickup with the words "seymour duncan" on it. if you think the hb102 is good then odds are you'll love the jb

I actually have JBs and HB102's. HB102's sound much fuller to me, the JBs are thin and weak in comparison.

HIJACK: I have been getting Dimebuckers for my guitars lately because that's all they have at Carlino's down the street from me. Sounds kinda weird in my 97 Jackson, it can get really twangy sounding, but it is kind of cool that way. I just cant get a crunchy sound really. It is really bassy and twangy. Maple neck, Alder body? Original Floyd rose. Bad match maybe? I don't know if I should switch to something "better" but if I were to do so, what would that be?

Duncan JB. Have one in my ESP M-II, which is also an alder/maple/Floyd setup...pickup slays. Much fatter and more well suited for that type of guitar.

I will keep that in mind. JB's are generally a go to pickup, so it sounds good to me. I was also thinking of a Dimarzio "Tone Zone" I think its called.
