Am I the only person in the world who does not like Decapitated?

toggletoggle post by yummy at Jan 28,2007 8:38pm
I would say so

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jan 28,2007 8:47pm
Decapitated is pretty awesome.

toggletoggle post by porphyria at Jan 28,2007 8:56pm
they have much better tracks than 'day 69'

I dont like, well not like, but dont think the last 3 albums are that great
Winds of Creation and Nihility are amazing, fuck the rest

in the past 3 years? no thanks.

'winds of creation' and 'nihility' blow away anything they've done in the past 5 years.

toggletoggle post by Archaeon at Jan 28,2007 9:26pm
Great gateway death metal band. I like all their cds but "Nihility" stands out the most to me.

toggletoggle post by ConquerTheBaphomet  at Jan 28,2007 10:50pm
Decapitated is great. I have "Winds of Creation", "Nihility", and "Organic Hallucinosis". Nihility is DEFINITELY the best.

toggletoggle post by the_rooster  at Jan 28,2007 11:10pm
great band. some of the most interesting guitar work happening right now in heavy music. all great players.

toggletoggle post by thegreatspaldino   at Jan 28,2007 11:18pm
nihility is awesome... winds of creation has the most FUN guitaring though. they had to make up for the fact that their drummer couldnt blast for shit. i actually really like the negation too. organic is as boring as it is good. i dont know... the new vocalist doesnt do it for me.

give the kid a break, he was like 14 at the time.

The negation was kind of a let down..besides the first couple songs, but organic hallucinosis destroys in my opinion.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Jan 28,2007 11:34pm
Decapitated are fucking incredible in my book. The only album that doesnt do as much for me is The Negation, but I still love it.

oh im not saying he was terrible or anything... the rest of his playing was AWESOME... his blasting just wasnt up to snuff... that changed on Nihility though.

I'm with you. what a snoozefest!

I thought since this was a Hoser thread, it was going to be about Therion

toggletoggle post by Ryan_M at Jan 29,2007 4:29pm
I think Decapitated are pretty cool, I have "Winds..." and "Nihility" burned on CD-Rs. They're definitely talented players, but sometimes the choppy stuttering guitars/drums get to me. I've seen them twice, once with Hypocrisy at the Palladium and the other time with Krisiun/Six Feet Under at Mark's Showplace (by the way I didn't stay for SFU!)

BENEATH THE MASSACRE are way more impressive.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Jan 29,2007 7:33pm
the vocals on the organic...album are just terrible i dont know why you retards cant tell this they are almost like toughguy hardcore or spoken word vocals this album is a huge letdown i like all their other shit i even thought the negation was great, i couldnt even make it through one listen on this piece of shit before i egayed it,they should have broken up after sauron left the band, their worst material by far! i guess its a good album for hardcore/metalcore faggots crossing over to metal thats about it......now......talk.. shit........GO!

Ya, but you also think that As I Lay Dying are a good band.....so your opinion doesn't count.

Beneath The Massacre isn't bad, but I don't get why you would compare them to Decapitated in the first place.

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Jan 29,2007 8:34pm
If I were to list the best Death Metal bands of the last 3 years, I don't even think DECAPITATED would make the list.

It's good, but goddamn the breakdowns are so unnecessary and uninspired.

Shit, you found me out! I might seem to listen to a lot of good death metal like Autopsy, Deceased and Impetigo but on the inside, I'm just a self-loathing As I Lay Dying fan.

ps: Decapitated still sucks

I'm with you. Well, I cant stand about 95% of death metal so I suppose I don't really count.

everyone knows BLS is the sickest, most br00tal heavy technically advanced music out there...i'm with you...always and forever

I was amazed by their guitar work when i first heard them, but I really cant stand the singer.
That video they had of them playing in CBGB's on Headbangers Ball really put a nail in it.
As far as Polish bands go, my favorite is Crionics. Anyone heard the last cd?

SFU are pretty boring on tape, but they're great live imo.
They opened for Danzig in 2000 (along with Disturbed), and Chris's voice drowned out the fucking drums AND guitars! in Palladium...
It was one the coolest things I've ever heard. He might have blown out the vocal pre-amps or something, because I couldnt hear Danzig at all when they played.
I think they're a great live band. They're more about fun then trying to break any musical boundaries... which might explain why they're one of the more successful death metal bands to date.
