New site? Maybe some day.
I think alot of you would be interested in this.
I am personally pissed off because they discontinued the non-floyded mh1000 to make room for this. |
They also released a natural expolorer shape and V line that some of you may be interested in:
fixed bridge mirrage:
new Stef Carpenter 7 string:
At three grand, it will break the bank, but i'm definately buying one.
what pups are in 7 string? |
the placement of the neck pickup is really odd |
it's not a neck pickup. It's middle position. sounds soooo good. |
since i'll be making mad loot in a few months, i must buy that mh1000 so i can reconnect myself with the love of my life, the whammy bar. |

whats the price, and is that an OFR I see? I am thinking of getting a schecter c1 hellraiser. Seems to be the best bang for the buck guitar on the market.
The fixed bridge MH1000 was 800, so that ones probably going to be about 850.
Yea, that's an OFR.
The schecter hellraisers look decent, but they have 24.5" scale lengths. huge turnoff.
The LTD MH400 with floyd costs about the same as the hellraiser, but it has a 25.5" scale and a lifetime warranty. |

whattttt that's so wierd. I couldn't get use to having that big clunky thing where I pick.

there's lots of guitars with middle pickups. Usually just single coil, but it's uncommon to have a bridge and middle with no neck.
It doesn't get in the way as much as you'd think, and it sounds absolutely killer. beats the hell out of a neck pickup any day. It's worth getting used to.
The reason middle Bridge+middle pickup configurations aren't popular is mostly due to asthetics. people aren't willing to check them out because they don't think they 'look as pretty'. |
finally, an mh deluxe thats floyded. i bet itll only come in see through black, yuck. |

The Mh400 with floyd goes for about 650. The Hellraiser with floyd goes for 799.
The fixed bridge MH400nt is like 600, the fixed bridge hellraiser is 650.
the specs are identicle, the hellraisers and MHs are both set-thru necks, mahogany bodies, maple necks, quilt tops, EMGs, ect. The only differences are the scale length, and the schecter has 2 volume knobs and gay looking abalone.
also, the ltds have a lifetime warranty. |

I might jsut have to look into those I wish jackson had a guitar that compares :( |
forget the MH400. Licensed FR. Blah to that shit. |
jackson hasnt started to cater to the 700-1000 price range market yet, kind of wierd considering that ESP and schecter have been dominating the market for years. at least jackson started throwing decent electronics/quality in their mid range models (dk2m....yum). |

the MH1000 with floyd has an OFR and costs about as much as the hellraiser FR |
ahhhh who knows, maybe I'll build a warmoth. |
are you at namm right now or are you just keeping us up to date?you know your esp/ltd shit dude |
yeah he is a major ESP fanboy, and definitly knows his shit. I doubt he is at namm, but is most likely paying attention to all the ESP stuff he can find. |
ESP do make good looking guitars.
some models do look like gibson rip offs but they are nice. |
i dont think stef can make a guitar that i dont like
i'd kill for his barritone 7-string |
if you want to see the 2007 esp/ltd lineup, just go to the esp messageboard, tons of pics there. |
All models are now up on the new ESPguitars.com website as well. |
The Mirrage is cool. I like that kind of shit, 1 pick ip 1 knob, fixed bridge. Is it neck through? |
Nice. I've been checking out this too.
Neck through, fixed fender style bridge emg 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck. I'm not usually into Ibanez but I played one of these at Guitar Center and I was pretty impressed. |
me and Mark Richards were playing one of those at GC. They were a little over price IMO, but it played nice. I don't dig that fender style bridge at all. |

damn, they're usually slow as shit with getting the stuff online. i remember them taking as long as april to get the new models up.
btw, that new 3 per side headstock is HORRENDOUS. i'll take the old limp penis headstock anyday. |
Even though, I'll probably never own one of these it is nice to see some of these pics and discussion here again.
Yay for guitar buffs! |
I miss the MH1000NT already....even though I play one.....alll the time. |
Ya I agree, those new 3x3's are yet another poopy take on PRS.
Glad theyre still putting out sweet metal axes tho. |
ibanez needs more guitars with a fixed bridge |

It's not a new design, it's just a thin version of their eclipse/viper headstock. |
I didn't even know they make the ESP Mirrage still.
The new ESP's are the balls. And now that Ibanez is using neck-through and EMGs, I'm very impressed with them even more than I was before. |
Every ESP and LTD M model is a Mirrage.
M = Mirrage
H = Horison
EC = eclipse
MV = Maverick
MH = horizon body + Mirrage headstock. |
