i third the ticket question |
What the hell is Transistor Transistor? That's a terrible name for a band. |
i think they been around for a while...
the rev has seen them a few times i believe. |
They're the only band on this lineup I haven't seen, oddly enough. |
cool show I'll probably be there |
there are no tickets for cambridge elks lodge shows, first come, first serve. get there a little early. this show will be interesting. |
Converge played PA's a while back with Floor 85 kids came. |

I wish this show started earlier. I'd go to both this and the show at the skybar. But I'm sure the skybar show will start before converge plays. |
this place has a pretty early curfew, it think the show needs to be over at like 930. |
I'm leaving the white mountains of NH now and heading to this show. |
Wow, they must be starting early. |
I really wanna go to this but I'm not gonna get there early enough to get in, I'm sure. Kids are gonna be lined up around the block.. |

Yeah I think they will because the hope con show was over by 930 last time and it started at 6.
I think if they want decent set times it will actually start on time |
im leaving my house at 2 and im probably gonna hang around until i starts. |

The street leading to the Cambridge Elks is right across the street from the Middle East. |

theres all kinds of parking along the street, just get there early. |
if you are at the front of the middle east, turn so you face across the street and you will be looking right down the street beside macdonalds to the front of the elks |
So basically what I said. |
Smoke as you are doing so. |
sorry, I was translating into NH speak. |
yeah, I'm leaving in 10-15 |
provided it doesn't sell out, I'll be there.
blue is poor right now, so he can't go :( |
I'm here. doors will be open in like 15-20 minutes. kids are lined up all the way down the block. I'm positive it's not sold out yet though. there is also plenty of parking in the lots. |
mind eraser starting now... fn LOUD. |
i need better play by play action
what the fuck is going on there mahn....pump in the line video feed. |
the red chord is setting up. |
mind eraser: this has to be everyone's newest favorite band. mark my words rich horror, you must book them and will love them. Very awesome and loud as hell and from boston to boot. 80's power violence.
transistor transistor: sort of the "odd man out" in this show, but they ruled. They played a new song which rocked. Lot's more screaming and a interlude that was quiet. But then blasted out with screaming again. this makes their next CD seem very promising. There was even a circle pit for them. |
Oh, I know. Someone told me IWEIPH is a big fave of Justin from ME. |
I've seen Mind Eraser a couple times in Providence, they own. |
lol, one of the worst sounding shows ive ever been to...a good time though |
the sound was clipping. the problem was that the mic was maxed out and the speakers were like 1/2 way down the room.
I think they needed to turn the mics dow and turn the amp up. |
dude transistor transistor was not good |
they brought rock back before bring rock back was cool... |
red chord & converge... brutal show!
wish i could have heard the vocals better though & holy shit was it hot in there |
Okay, I searched all the TRC pics, and didn't see Johnny Fay..that's his name right? Is he still in the band? Or am my eyes playing tricks on me and they werent a four piece in these pics? |
Both times I saw Mind Eraser they had two guitarists, where'd the other one go? |
they said they are looking a second guitarist so i guess he quit |
this was fun. re-living the red chord was awesome for me. |
Thanks, from the elks.
I' Object Feb 17th. |
what exactly went down last night |
an awesome show went down, duh! |
i went, but i stayed outside because i had no money. |
red chord, the: even though they had the second stack, there was no fay. Gunface bought something cheap and had guitar issues. Finally, they got underway. These recent string of shows they've done smack of 2002 when they themselves could do shows like this in small halls. Their set was nothing short of vocal-less at the end. It seems like the mic couldn't take it. People surged forward over and over, knocking into the drums, the guitar, but oddly, never hitting the bass. The end of their set should always be the end of a show.. But as the bodies from the "dreaming in dogyears" pile up cleared the stage, the realization that there was another band set in.
converge: what year is this? It feels like the 90's when converge could play clubs like this. Amazing that they tour in huge places, in front of barricades and then in the end, come home to roost in their roots. Small shows like this are the key to the energy that can keep a band on the road, touring and playing after 15 years. They played mostly things off jane doe, you fail me, and no heroes, but tossed in locust reign and one other older track. I can't blame them for not wanting to play songs from 10+ years ago. Like I said before, is their anything that you did 10+ years ago that you still like? If you answered "yes".. please stop talking to your computer and continue watching king of the hill because you, my friend, are hank hill. People continued to surge around, but more fevered than during the red chord. The crowd constantly rolled forward and knocked into the drums and pulled the mic back into them. I don't think jake kept his hands on that mic for more than seconds at a time. It would be gome and he would tug at the string like a yo-yo to bring it back from the crowd. By the end, he had given up and just screamed into people's faces without the mic. During their set, jacob said their would be no encore and their wasn't, but that's what punkrock is.
it's amazing that more people don't come out to these shows. just my humble opinion.. |
