I couldn't agree more. It seems like every time Seth Putnam makes a joke band and succeeds with it (because they're actually funny) everyone else wants to be in on it and starts their own dumb ass joke band that's only more annoying than it is funny.
And I'm just as guilty, I used to think I was doing something cool and funny by recording improvised noise/grind with my friends or starting my own one-man joke black metal band. But it got boring really fast, especially since I realized that I wasn't the only one doing it.


And Erik, just because you're adding lots of other non-metal styles into your band, that doesn't mean it will be any more entertaining. Making fun of black metal isn't funny anymore(unless it's Immortal photoshops - those are timeless!). No one's going to care. Give it up.
