i'm beyond sick and tired of having dial up, so obviously i need high speed internet. here's the situation: i live in a town that is practically lightyears behind the entire universe. dsl was supposed to be available 5 years ago, but that hasn't happened yet. i live 1/8 mile set back in the woods with no cable. to run cable to the next cable box would cost about $1500 since it's across the street from my house. so i can't get anything that is run through cable. do any of you have satellite internet or any other alternatives that would be possible for me to look into?

comcast

I use comcast, and that is all I have ever used for high speed. Never had a problem with the exceptions of a few hiccups.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 14,2006 7:55pm
does comcast connect through satellite?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 14,2006 8:13pm
no, and satellite internet sucks. you download over satellite, but upload over phonelines.
what about DSL?
cell cards?

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 14,2006 8:18pm
if you read my post, you'd see that dsl is unavailable in my town.

can you tell me more about cell cards?

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Dec 14,2006 8:51pm
what cell phone service do you have?

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 14,2006 9:13pm

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Dec 14,2006 9:21pm
no problem

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 14,2006 9:28pm
sprint's got a slick card.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Dec 14,2006 9:34pm
yeah, i think if we ever get rid of comcast thats what we will be getting.
that's probably not gonna happen since everything is linked together.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 14,2006 9:38pm
i'm going to have to call t mobile to get the full deal on that hotspot hub-bub. my real solution to this problem is saving my money and getting the fuck out of the woods.
