A few years ago I remember seeing this funny ass picture of Stephen O'Malley (I think) mowing the lawn on a hot California day in full BM gear and corpsepaint. I would like to have seen the look on the neighbors faces.

Yeah, he's almost done with it! Is this Larissa?
He certainly is grouchy. The second time I went in there, he and the girl who manages the shop were growling at each o and I was like "man, you guys sure are belligerent in here huh?" and he gave me this hilariously sheepish grin. I like the guy.

its because black metal is becoming the cool scenester thing. its the new stoner/doom. theyre getting rid of their beards and bongs and putting on guantlets and writing pure blasting blasphemous blah blah blah. |

yeah Wrest does cool artwork too, I think he painted the HERESI cover (Hydrahead release, they got Xasthur now too, well, he IS SoCal)
