In an exclusive partnership between Nuclear Blast Records and AOL Music, I's debut album, Between Two Worlds, will be available for streaming in its entirety for seven days beginning Monday, November 13th at 12:01 a.m. EASTERN (9:01 a.m. PACIFIC) at the following link: http://music.aol.com/songs/new_releases_full_cds?defaultTab=13

With a super group line-up comprised of Immortal's vocalist/guitarist Abbath, lead guitarist Arve “Ice Dale” Isdal of Enslaved, ex-Gorgoroth bassist Tom Visnes (T.C. King), ex-Immortal drummer Armagedda, and showcasing the lyrical penmanship of ex-Immortal member Demonaz, the band's namesake, a Roman pillar which also represents the Roman numeral “One,” clearly affirms the status of Between Two Worlds as the first album of its kind in the new genre of rock-infused black metal. “Any backwards moves toward their roots are countered with climbing onto higher peaks of cleaner air and new kinds of frozen evil,” cites Decibel Magazine, which scored the album a 9 out of 10

Slated for North American release on November 14th, this AOL Listening Party is an opportunity for die-hard fans of extreme music to get a sneak preview of Abbath's first musical offering since 2002's Sons Of Northern Darkness with IMMORTAL.

In related news, the reformation of the pioneering black metal band IMMORTAL was recently announced with I mastermind Abbath handling vocals & guitar, Horgh handling drum duties, and Apollyon on bass. IMMORTAL will be performing the following two exclusive shows in 2007:

July 13th, 2007 - NEW YORK, NEW YORK at B.B. KING'S
July 15th, 2007 - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNA at THE AVALON

Pre-sale tickets for both shows are currently on sale.

Seems like all the prominent Black Metal artist's frontmen are doing "rock infused" solo projects now. The only one that has really impressed me thus far is Ihsahn's (Emperor) metal project. But this ain't bad, just sounds forced and redundant.

It's just Immortal Lite. It's alright but nowhere near as cool as the original.
