I've owned that cd for like 7 years now, and I'm continually told that I don't know anything about hardcore (by 19 year old kids that think they're the first one to ever hear Slapshot)

I didn't know anything about hardcore when I bought this. I think this may have been the first hardcore CD I bought unless the Suicidal Tendencies self-titled counts.

Powerviolence is way more hardcore than hardcore.
