Norway's black metal legends IMMORTAL disbanded in 2003 after 13 successful years as one of the pioneers of metal, with a legacy of seven full-length albums, including their latest milestone, 2002's "Sons of Northern Darkness", through Nuclear Blast Records.

After a solid break, the band has decided to enter the battlefield again, and what better way to do so than performing a few selected, exclusive concert appearances!

Come 2007, the world will see a new ferocious lineup of IMMORTAL, featuring Abbath and Horgh, and a new bass player in Apollyon from AURA NOIR.

After already confirming their headlining appearance at Germany's Wacken Open Air 2007, Photograve Management has announced the mighty IMMORTAL's return to U.S. shores for two exclusive shows. The dates are as follows:

Jul. 13 - New York City, NY – B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
Jul. 15 - Los Angeles, CA - The Avalon

Tickets go on sale October 13 2006 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

IMMORTAL 2007 lineup:

Abbath – Vocals, Guitar
Horgh – Drums
Apollyon – Bass

looks like they were inspired by the success of Emperor and are doing about the same thing, two American dates (which will probably be overpriced)

toggletoggle post by paganmegan   at Sep 27,2006 5:01pm
It is cool though

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Sep 27,2006 7:23pm
I wonder if they'll play only shit from at the heart of winter and on, just like last time. I was pretty disappointed. the oldest track they played was Battles In the North.

paganmegan took the words out of my mouth. I saw this and immediately thought "Emperor"

toggletoggle post by insipidzombie  at Sep 28,2006 1:25pm
definitely a pretty overt Bathory influence in "I", which I hear is what they were going for.

toggletoggle post by nekrotisk   at Sep 28,2006 2:49pm

Whooaaa really? You're right, that is fucking disappointing. Not that I don't like the later albums... but no material from Pure Holocaust? Weak.
