Yeah, I've never noticed their mp3s before (aside from the fact that they kind of stole the name from WFMU, or it could just be coincidental), but there is some cool stuff there: Alec Redfearn, 5ive, Neptune, Lightning Bolt, Bugs and Rats, Anal Cunt, Magic People, Tiger Saw, Victory at Sea, Scissorfight.

How often do they update it?

I saw victory at sea (the first time) in a small apartment in chinatown with steve albini's current band. I forget it's name right now.

I think the first time I saw tiger saw was with songs:ohia.

Ha, the Shellac chinatown show? That must have been crazy packed. I don't think I lived up here then. It's kind of hard not to see Tiger Saw around here if you've gone to more than one DIY/indie show in the last two years. Dude is constantly playing out.

it wasn't too packed. this was before I started taking pictures 98 I think. they were playing the middle east after that so it was an early show. one of the guys in that band was HUGE and lanky, I thought it was the drummer, but I forget. looks like an 8-foot-tall spider monkey when we saw him walking down the street.
