toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Sep 6,2006 7:58pm

toggletoggle post by pam   at Sep 6,2006 7:59pm

ya no shit, ha

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Sep 6,2006 8:14pm
Have you tried bittorrent or anything like that, I know a ton of people on limewire have that shit. Never seen any software on slsk though

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Sep 6,2006 8:41pm
After years of hassles with pirated versions, I finally bought xp....I havent had a single problem since.
Pirated xp sucks because you cant update to service pack 2 or anything else w/o a serial#.

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Sep 6,2006 8:43pm
I have yet to install SP2, I heard you have to back everything up on your machine first. That will be a pain in the ass. But support for SP1 ends Oct 10, SO I gotta get to doing that shit soon

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Sep 6,2006 8:44pm
Sp2 installed no prob for me, but it took a while.
Dunno if it has anything to do with it being a legit copy.

Did you have to back up everything first though?

All you need is an SP2 friendly key. Mine gives me no trouble.

you can remove the WGATray item from startup and also delete the .exe file entirely. there's no way to remove the program (which goes against microsoft's stance on malware) but you can disable it.

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Sep 6,2006 10:16pm
oh yeah I forgot that a plain vanilla key will need you to activate. I have some sort of coporate key that does not need to be activated. It never gets checked against a database online.

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Sep 6,2006 10:18pm
yeah i have corporate xp and office. i also have a corporate version of symantec antivirus that doesnt even have a cd key but i stopped using that long time ago.

I've been LiveUpdate'ing my NAV for years (I have a crack that doesn't expire until 2054) and all the sudden they got smart and told me my subscription is bad.

I need to find a new version but every one I download doesn't work. I've never had a virus before so I keep putting it off.

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Sep 6,2006 10:25pm
heheh....never had a virus, or never known you had a virus?

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Sep 6,2006 10:30pm

I don't really go to dangerous places. And if I do, I usually turn up my defenses.

I use IE, too.
