So what is your favorite IE album? They've been around forever and now all of a sudden the go quiet for a few years? The only thing I know is there is news of a "something wicked this way comes: pat II"
Doesn't it seem like everyone is coming out with a part two?
Symphony of enchanted lands part two
Operation mindcrime part two
Keeper of the 7 key part two......so on and so on
any who, what is your favorite?

Mmm, I wonder if Barlow will ever make a return to the world of heavy metal. |
|
the one with the Power Metal vocals |
|
Paul Stanl... I mean Barlow is a goofy fuck. |

Hooker nli said: Paul Stanl... I mean Barlow is a goofy fuck. |
ha, i always thought he sounded like paul stanley too. that was pretty much the only thing that distinguished iced earth from other bands. |
|
yea, he sounds just like Stanley..Kessaris would never admit it |
|
did they cover a kiss song on that tribute to the gods cd? |
|
Horror Show is and always will be my favorite. I love the way that album flows. |
|
as far as studio albums i would go with something wicked, with dark saga not far behind.
the days of purgatory compilation was a great album as well, because the first 2 albums were awesome, but the singers were terrible, so to hear matt barlow sing the old songs is a breath of fresh air for that material.
my favorite i.e. record of all though is alive in athens. it's like a best-of album but all the hits are there, and all the members' performances are flawless. |
|
stormrider for sure.
best thing i ever did was rip all the stormrider tracks from days of purgatory, reburn the CD with barlow singing and whatever tracks weren't redone, toss the remasters from the box set on there.
brilliant! |
|
ditto, Stormrider is the best album, but so much better with Barlow on vocals. Alive in Athens is definitely all you really need to have from them though. |
|
The Glorious Burden is one of the worst musical ever expressions uttered by man. Not that I cared for the original singer, but Tim Owens is a retard who tries far too hard and fails. Always.
Personally I think IE is one of the most mediocre, 'slipped through the cracks' bands ever, but I'd say their best stuff was Stormrider, Burnt Offerings or Dark Saga. Even on those, we had to suffer Schaeffer's terribly overproduced guitar tone. |
