Megadeth for their new concert thing they have going on!

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Aug 28,2006 9:27pm
I think In Flames is an obvious one.

toggletoggle post by 666 at Aug 28,2006 9:31pm
Dude you gotta be kidding about Slayer, Iron Maiden and Morbid Angel.

toggletoggle post by infoterror  at Aug 28,2006 9:39pm
HELL NO.
YOU HAVE TO BE BLIND TO SEE THOSE ALBUMS ARE 1/2 THE QUALITY OF THE PREVIOUS ALBUM FROM EACH BAND.
IF YOU CANNOT SEE THAT, HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR ANAL? I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUNG BOY IN THE BIBLICAL SENSE OF "TO PLOW."

ravishing grimness has to be THE gayest name for a black metal album ever

I think there is some confusion here between "selling out" and just plain sucking.

Divine Intervention sucked, while Metallica/aka/' Black Album' was a sell out.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Aug 28,2006 10:46pm
yeah, really.

divine intervention is slayer's sellout album? have you heard diabolus in musica?

toggletoggle post by infoterror  at Aug 28,2006 11:12pm
IT ONLY GOT WORSE
DOMINATION IS SHIT
DIVINE INTERVENTION IS SHIT

Morbid Angel 'Domination'.... the album that was criticized for having nazi lyrics... is a sellout album? Sure, I guess they wanted to tap into that huge demographic

toggletoggle post by watchmaker666  at Aug 29,2006 9:14am
I can't belive Cold Lake is not on that list! I mean WTF

"Divine Intervention" is selling out? have to disagree with you there. it's a heavy record.

worst case of selling out i've heard in the past 5 years is Candiria's last effort. such a fucking disappointment on so many levels.

7. Dorkthrone - Ravishing Grimness

'Ravishing Grimness' is in no way a sell-out, it's a great album and I'll believe you the day I can ride around your neighborhood and see little kids with 'Plaguewielder' shirts listening to Incriminated on their headsets.

Besides, isn't 'Plaguewielder' their de facto sellout album, since the cover art was too colorful and no longer fit in with the elites' vinyl and t-shirt collection?

toggletoggle post by paganmegan   at Aug 29,2006 11:01am
Jewess in heat-hahahahahaha

Actually it was one of the most clever names. There are far gayer.

toggletoggle post by paganmegan   at Aug 29,2006 11:01am
I can't think of a darkthrone release I don't enjoy to some degree

toggletoggle post by paganmegan   at Aug 29,2006 11:02am
whether it was a sell out or not I don't give a rat's ass

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Aug 29,2006 11:02am
Exactly. That is one band I can say with all honesty is nigh flawless.

Hello, People! COLD LAKE! Duh!

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Aug 29,2006 11:44am
tom warrior fell from a tree in a cherry orchard
mark ain drowned in a cold lake
reed st. mark went to mega therion

toggletoggle post by pam   at Aug 29,2006 12:17pm
I'd like to second Cold Lake, cause uh wow Mr. Bryant, nice pants!

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Aug 29,2006 1:01pm edited Aug 29,2006 1:02pm
I loved Cold Lake, but that's only because I thought they were doing the glam thing on purpose...I thought it was another 'experiment' as Frost was so prone to do. I actually thought it was sort of their tribute to Michael Monroe/Hanoi Rocks...

But knowing the truth, that it wasn't, I just wish they had kicked the stupid image, made those same tunes a little heavier, gotten rid of the wigga rap intro, and then that record would have been a lot better. A lot of the riffs on there are pure CF.

Also, the songs 'Dance Sleazy', 'Tease Me', and a few other titles need to go haha.

toggletoggle post by metal_church101  at Aug 29,2006 2:05pm
LOL. How did Hekseri makes this list?

toggletoggle post by 666 at Aug 29,2006 2:09pm
The only Slayer album that was a sellout was Diabolus In Musica, listen to Death's Head, thats fucking hardcore song right there, Malevolent Creation with Joe Black was a huge disappointment, you can hear to 3 techo death metal tracks.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Aug 29,2006 2:16pm
Death's Head nothing... Stain of Mind had a Coal Chamber riff. fired.

For Cradle of Filth it was the From the Cradle to Enslave E. P.

THESE ARE GOOD SUGGESTIONS

whoa wait..... people actually listened to Ancient?

toggletoggle post by Dankill at Sep 7,2006 12:24am
Slayer blew it with D.I.M.
Ancient sucked in general
Deicide I agree with.
No idea here.
I hated that Iron Maiden album, but no sellout. Just boring.
GAY
Didn't even listen to it
Fuck you, Domination, along with Covenant, introduced me to Morbid Angel when I was friggin 14.
Selling out can't involve sucking this bad. Because this is bad. But then Something Wicked sucked more.

COF hit their knees for $$$ after the EP
In Flames at Reroute
Soilwork at Figure Number Five
Even if Dimmu did sell out with that album, fuck you.
I hoped Killswitch was gonna get some Blood Has Been Shed mixed into their sound after Jesse left. They didn't.
It Des Today: dunno, don't care
Arch Enemy "we want to grove and have people bang their heads" THEN PLAY LIKE THE LAST ALBUM BITCH!
Nile..........fuck you

toggletoggle post by Dankill at Sep 7,2006 12:25am
And Cold Lake is up there as one of the worst from one of the most promising and influential metal bands ever.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Sep 7,2006 10:46am
yeah i fail to see how Ravishing Grimness is "sell out" or "gay". that album is fucking spectacular. its a clearer recording, but doesnt take away from the bone chilling elements of Darkthrone. no one can say shit about Darkthrone, they havent changed, only mutated into weirder forms.
