>
> In a recent interview with Rockdetector.com, Pintado spoke about his final days in NAPALM DEATH.
>
> "The departure was basically due to a variety of reasons," he said. "We shared a house together, we toured together, we were always together, but people move on. Along the way there was a little rough bumps, though I don't know. In my situation it got to the point where I needed a little fresh start. I'm still good friends with the guys; there's no animosity there, we're all cool, and they're happy with what I'm doing."
>
> Asked if the media twisted the situation in some ways since it was reported that the band stated he had personal problems and alcohol issues," Pintado replied, "Yeah, of course. The other day I was browsing the Internet, and they stated I was dead! I thought 'Oh shit, I'm dead!' I really don't pay much attention to that."
>
> Pintado's final release was the long-awaited TERRORIZER reunion CD, entitled "Darker Days Ahead", which came out last week via Century Media Records. |
|
This sucks.
I heard also now that a guy from Shining killed himself?!?! I mean that was to be expected, it's suicide metal...but damn. When it rains it pours. |
|
I got my info from century media |

hmm... the news you got from CM is the same thing posted on Blabbermouth |
|
and someone said they didn't trust BM. I would assume they would trust stuff sent out from CM. |
|
I'll just get my news from the Rev or some other trustworthy source, even if Blabbermouth was a bastion of journalistic integrity I would not read that awful site. |
|
This is too fucken bad !!!! He will be surely missed !!!! |
|
Another one to add to the list.
In fact, I'm gonna have to start a new list. Dead people I've played shows with. Now even that is getting too long to keep track of.
I guess I'll never see Terrorizer now.
|
|
That is horrible news!! The first show I ever played was opening up for Napalm Death. He seemed like a really nice guy. And definitely a great musician. RIP |
|
Rest in Peace my friend.

To honour the passing of the long-term recording artist Jesse Pintado, Earache Records is offering a free downloadable mp3 album. The album entitled 'In Memory Of Jesse Pintado' features some of Jesse's most well-known songs recorded during his time as guitarist for both NAPALM DEATH and TERRORIZER.
The sad news of Jesse's death in hospital in Holland on Sunday August 27th 2006 has shocked fans throughout the world, and this album serves as our small tribute to the outstanding music he created during his career.
Earache label manager Dan Tobin had the following to say about Jesse's sudden death:
"Jesse was one of the most genuine people I ever met, extremely friendly and easy-going. Its such a tragic waste. I'll remember him as part of what is my all time favourite Earache record, TERRORIZER's 'World Downfall,' which is simply a grindcore masterpiece, and for all his amazing work with NAPALM DEATH that I was honoured to be a small part of. I don't think Jesse's passing has been recognised as the huge loss it is – the worlds of extreme music and grindcore/death metal have lost a true pioneer. We owe him a massive debt and for that I'll always remember the guy fondly."
The mp3 album can be downloaded at http://www.metaltracks.com/jesse and the full track listing is as follows:
1. TERRORIZER - "Ripped To Shreds"
2. NAPALM DEATH - "The World Keeps Turning"
3. NAPALM DEATH - "Throwaway"
4. TERRORIZER - "Storm of Stress"
5. NAPALM DEATH - "Upwards And Uninterested"
6. NAPALM DEATH - "I Abstain"
7. TERRORIZER - "Corporation Pull-In"
8. NAPALM DEATH - "Purist Realist"
9. NAPALM DEATH - "Remain Nameless"
10. NAPALM DEATH - "Inner Incineration" |
|
I heard the new Terrorizer is killer |
|
Not mind-blowing, but it is a really good CD.

|
|
the page is down, too many people tried to d/l it at once - i'm sure it will be back up shortly.
He did have diabetes, is there a official cause of death? its kinda like that drummer of Demolition Hammer, no one would disclose his death and rumors started from aids to gay bashing.
rip, he was a cool guitarist and knew how to thrash. what about suffer the children |
|
uggghhh why did I type drummer?
Sean, Keith, Mark, anyone that knows me. Smack me in the head next time you see me. I knew that and had a brainfart. Uncalled for.
|
|
RIP Jesse. The Godfather of Grindcore Metal guitar in my opinion. |
