mortis devia. - i liked this band. seems like they played so long ago. young i think. the chick singer was pretty brutal.

hekseri - pagan meagan is way hotter in person.

scourge - the best band no one gives a shit about. the singer kept tossing out lighters, i dont have to buy fire for a month.

zircon - slayed as always. i was drunk as shit by this point. massive headbanging ensued.

my only gripe with said show was the fact that Hekseri's drums kept fading in and out...it was weird

I'm still dizzy from helicopter headbanging for all of Zircon's set

The turnout was amazing as well...probably 50+ throughout the night

we couldn't hear jackshit up there at first, which is kinda weird because we're not used to having such nice monitors pointing at us.

but we somehow recalibrated our sonic reality towards the end of the set (I didn't notice as many fuckups towards the middle / end).....

Yeah, the monitors may have looked nice but they didn't serve their purpose as well as they could have. When the drum sound was increased it made things better but the oddity of one mic'ed kick and other EQ issues made the sound still not quite as good as I would want. that said, I liked the club alot nonetheless.

you should have played there like 2 months ago. standing towards the front of the stage was like riding a roller coaster because the floor was so fucked up. we played there one time and i was hammered and it was like playing in one of those inflatable bouncy room things that you see at kids birthday parties. i'm so glad they finally fixed it.

i've never had a bad experience there, whether playing or watching.

they don't usually get too many metal shows in there...so the sound guys they have aren't quite adapted to doing it yet(zircon's a different story, considering they've played there like 7 times in the last 5 months)

ok im not so drunk anymore and my hangover is gone.

last nite was a fucking blast. best turnout yet. can't fucking wait till next month. zircon played with only one guitar player. hardly noticed given the mental state at the time. hekseri got the worst end of the sound guy last nite. it is funny that larissa uses the black metal voice between songs, stuff like that makes me laugh. they where good but not for everybody in the room. megan is still hot.

Great show can't wait for the next Metal Thursday. The chick from Mortis Deveia should talk in the metal voice between songs. She sounded wicked dorky when she was talking then did incredible vocals. I was surprised how good they are. I also want to give another vote that Megan is hotter in person.

But yeah people Zircon ruled the evening,they are fucking killer everytime Iv seen them. I think Hekseri were awesome!!!! The main thing I get from this band is pure loudness and blasphemy. They just scream at the top of their lungs because they don't give a fuck what people think. Scourge and Mortis Deviea kicked my ass too.

Everyone in Hekseri lives, breathes, shits and exists for metal and that is the reason we get and play shows, go to work fucking hungover and sleep deprived.
