Yea, so I saw this band at Ozzfest and I was hoping that they'd be awesome, but they are such shitty musicians live... except the drummer. Their guitar players blow (I have always said they were flashy, not good), their singer can't sing for shit and they can't write a song for shit. I don't know why I am venting about this now, but i found this video that basically sums them up live:

the singer isnt sucking at all...the guitars sound like they're a little out of tune, some of the notes in the solo were off, but they did pretty good with the rhythm shit which is retardedly fast as well

Can't say that I am a fan myself. Don't get me wrong, they are as talented as you could possibly get, just not my cup of tea.

I consider talent the ability to write a memorable song, not tapdance all over a fretboard while jumping on trampolines.

that doesnt mean they suck live

they stuff they play isn't hard, they run through patterns that are pretty natural for your hands which makes it even worse that they fuck everything up.

i still think they're pretty good, to me it's refreshing when compared to pretty much every metal band that comes out nowadays

I'm glad someone else totally recognizes the suckassness of them live. When I saw them it was a huge muddy clusterfuck that made that video sound awesome. The records are fun to listen to just because it's prety catchy, but they can't play out for shit.

boy, i would agree with you. but when i met zakk he talked to me and my g/f for a good 20 or so mins when he didn't have to with a line of people waiting to meet him, and to top it off, he bought everyone beer.

That video is very amusing. I think they couldn't hear. I saw them in Poughkeepsie a few weeks ago, and no they weren't tight as hell or anything, but they weren't bad.

I do agree that they are flashy, mindless stuff. But it is fun.

Anyone who asked me, "Were they good?" I'd say "no, but they were fun."

Fun isn't such a bad thing.

wow i expected more from this band live...i enjoy there albums although most power/progressive winds up all sounding the same to me after awhile except for BG.
