not that anyone should care, but I'm on a trip today. figured I would post a little while on it.

what does a usual american trip start with?
correct answer: the gas station.
this is where i met a trucker. he was delivering a flat bed of wooden pallets for the US Naval base. the wonderful US government was spending $4500 to transport pallets worth $1k-$2K. what a great way to spend tax money! he was also transporting a kitchen add-on for a double-wide or "duece" trailer to limestone maine. some little lady in maine's going to be wicked happy! I hope she thanks her brother appropriately!

then off to get a borrito @ dos amigos in portsmouth NH and headed to the beach.

ok, a lot of you dont know that NH only has 18 miles of beaches so let me leave down the science. NH only has 18 miles of beaches. now that the learnin's dun. I will continue.
NH beaches are as follows (listed N to S)
Portsmouth harbor (not really a beach)
Odiorne State Park (not much of a beach. Its a science area)
Rye state park
Walis sands
Pirates cove
Jeness
Rye Beaches (only rich types allowed)
North Hampton State Park
Hampton beach (only trash of all colors allow)
seabrook (only trauma movie stars allowed)
salisbury beach
salisbury reserve (only RVs allowed)

most of this coast is all rocky and not suitable for swimming, surfing, or fishing. Today, I parked at a rocking cliff over look and climbed down to swim at walis sands. This beach must be near buckling under the immense weight of the average beach goer. It is said that animal rescue people have been known to storm this beach enmass to try and return the land whales to their habitat in the ocean. They obviously failed to nottice that these whales are smoking cigarrettes on the beach and consuming handfulls of cheetos while they lay on their backs yelling at their bastard children. If the kids aren't bastards and the dad is their, he mostlikely is an over tanned middle aged laid off mechanic with some sort of tribal tattoo.

I walked to an area where surfers were out in the water so I wouldn't be disturbed. after swimming for 15 minutes, I had pulled a bunch of beer cans from the water and had to find the trash. I should have been seachin for gold or something... geez.. I had to walk for 5 minutes to find a garbage so my hippie ass could get rid of someone else's trash and hopefully save the planet in the process. that was enough beach for me so I jetted.

next I stopped and took a picture of this house I've always wanted to shoot. the house was at the very very very end of 101 in the middle of some salt flats.

the aforementioned cliff front parking was abundant for people who just want to jump in the water for a minute. It is well out of waddling distance of the beach.

101 was a million miles of uneventfulness. Most of the time, I was trying to get russ's number in the spotty internet access out there. I stopped and took a couple pictures.
I save piss for vt! stopped at an overlookd in VT on route 9 and took pictures. I put down a lens cap on the trunk of my car and said to mysef "you are going to forget this." turned, snapped 2 pictures and then a car went off the road into the parking spot I was in. He came screeching to a halt, but it was enough for me to forget my lens cap as I hurried off. Damnit. I guess I saved all my piss for VT and I was the one who ended up getting pissed on.

Along rt 9 and rt 7, I stopped and took some pictures of bridges n stuff. But mostly, I was just trying to get up hills. My batteries in the hybrid completely dried up and I had to do a lot of coasting. On the otherside of the mountians, the batteries topped off and I thought all that unsaved momentum was just wasted. Shame.

I hiked around beaver brooke in hollis for three hours today and was pissed I forgot batteries for my camera, I got within ten feet of this huge blue heron trying to swallow a fish. Not to mention all the insane different versions of dragonflies they have in there.

I guess there was once a report of sasquatch too.

I actually drove (in the process of) back by the over look in VT and found my lens cap. it was in the breakdownlane on the opposite side of the road. it's not really functional any more. looks like the spring clips on both sides are gone (run over) and a quarter size piece is missing. oh well, cool that I found it.
