he sounds like a pussy assed bitch.
too bad a lot of his stuff is wicked smart. doublily too bad that people shout out lines from his show.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Jul 29,2006 5:38pm
Well, Chappelle came around on tour a few years ago and my cousin went, and he told me that the audience was horrible, all drunk kids yelling out "Rick James bitch!" and other shit from the show through the whole routine. I guess Chappelle was getting wicked pissed off at that, it was so bad sometimes that he would just be waiting for it to settle down before he continued to talk. So the heckling thing is probably for that, it gives him reason to kick anyone out who won't shut up.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jul 29,2006 5:40pm
i can see the no cameras... but no cell phones its in boston, going anywhere without a cell phone esp. in boston that is a stupid rule

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 29,2006 7:11pm
thing is cell phones can do ANYTHING..include record audio and take photos, guess he doesn't want illegit ringtones with his voice

but yeah it's good about throwing out hecklers..i'm not going to a show to hear people in the crowd that THINK they are being funny

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2006 7:15pm
I'm putting my phone in my crotch or something. a celi in the "age of terrorism" is the smartest thing to have on you and is the world-wide #1 safty device.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 29,2006 7:16pm
you best have it off and don't pull anything because if you get kicked out for taking a photo you'll be waiting outside till the show ends...

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 29,2006 7:17pm
also i'm betting people's phone's would be going off non stop an annoying everybody
a few hours without a phone BIG DEAL

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2006 7:20pm
um... carina... I think you forget who you are talking to here. plus, it says no phones. not no PDAs. my phone is a PDA. from the tms you sent me about this, you obviously did forget who you are talking to.

all they need to do is have a couple people with binoculars watching the crowd.

I want my phone for safty reasons.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jul 29,2006 9:40pm
hmmm rev give your phone to your girl friend for her to hide untill you get in.. reason being that with the history of events i have gone to they check girls alot less if at all compared to guys

dave chappelle's stand up is sooo fucking terrible....not even funny...one bit....

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 31,2006 10:08am
i love going to live comedy shows and i'm sure he'll be funny, i am a fan of the stand up i've seen from him

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Jul 31,2006 12:26pm edited Jul 31,2006 2:31pm
I don't get how Chappelle's stand up isn't funny, on Comedy Central they periodically show this hour and a half stand up comedy special he did a few years ago, and the whole thing is hilarious beginning to end. If you want to watch Dave Chappelle not be funny, watch his performance in Robin Hood: Men In Tights.

you arent serious...right?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 8,2006 5:42pm
I am serious, and I think he's brilliant. I like a lot of things about that movie, but other elements fall flat to me. Despite a great topic for satire, the movie has enough weak elements to make it fall far short of a film like Spaceballs (and if a comedy starring Rick Moranis appeals to me more than a comedy starring Cary Elwes, the first movie has to have a much better script).

There are plenty of funny moments in the movie and a lot of things I liked about it, but Richard Louis drags it down, Isaac Hayes isn't funny, and the juxtaposition of putting Dave Chappelle's modern urban character in a medieval British tale was a painfully obvious one-note cliche that they beat into the ground.

I once ordered Showtime for one month so that I could watch his stand up special that aired sometime around one year ago and I was gravely dissapointed. I always found his t.v. show rather amusing, but his stand up just never did it for me.

I've seen a standup special from Dave Chappelle, I'm pretty sure it's the one you guys are talking about, and every time I see it I laugh so hard. I think I like it better than his show.

whoa. never have i heard such rampant blasphemy. i think Robin Hood: Men In Tights is sheer brilliance from beginning to end, nothing excluded.

I take it you didn't get kicked out

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Aug 24,2006 7:21am
but we saw plenty of people who did. we had great seats and saw people around us trying to take pics..what's the big deal abt taking a pic of him with yer cam phone? i didn't really care abt taking his pic.
what i like is how he moves around and enacts things...that was hilarious...if i would have taken a photo it would have been while he was bending over pretending to masturbate and eat ice cream

toggletoggle post by Dave Chapelle at Aug 24,2006 1:14pm
cereal, not ice cream.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Aug 24,2006 1:34pm
hahahaha oops!
but too bad this is probably aaron since it's Chappelle not Chapelle
=)

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Aug 24,2006 1:38pm
i love how when he asked if women sit to pee in public stalls a woman in front stood up and yelled no and showed him how she squatted...
i wanted to yell out "so that's why the fuckin toilet seat always has pee on it!"

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Aug 24,2006 1:41pm
oh and i was sorta surprised at how he kept on talking about his break down and then gave the analogy of being offered 50 million dollars and then when he went to grab it the guy pulled out his dick and put it on top of the pile of money...then obviously Dave didn't take it
