...Fresh off of our performance at the Reel Bar last week where we got them issued their 1st noise citation...it was weird to have cops flooding in while we were playing. Maybe we can repeat the trick on Saturday afternoon, but you'll have to get there early to find out...  |

you can park down around OBs and take the T down to fenway or if youre lucky they way meter parking all around fenway park. you just gotta get there early enough to find one.

It's this weekend? Damn, I would like to have made it down to this, so far I've only seen/heard three bands out of the twenty-two bands on this fest (Sin of Angels, Ichabod, HBBSI).

dissector: they told a bad joke. And I think the punchline is suppose to be a singer, not a drummer.
I, Destroyer: they showed up right in the nick of time to play. Sounded awesome. probably the best sounding set I've heard from them.
human bone bicycle science industries: well, there as some huge tado about monika parking. It seemed lke every 5 minutes she would be outside parking the van. That thing's going to be all parked out at this rate. They played a short set. Short even for them. |

occultum: somehow, a band that I newer hear of inside NH, who (from what I remember) is from NH is out touring with hidden hand, the. they had some conifer-esque repedative drumming. NH, but mostly just rocked out with an agressive for on doom-rock. They even did the stadium ending.
dream is dead, the: think napalm death mixed with some playing enemy and you might get an idea of what they sound like. I wasn't expecting a grindcore band at all.. They singer gave speeches in between some songs. They weren't very long, but the speeches about the speeches? Those were long. And don't even get me started about the speeches of the speeches about the speeches. |

Total Fucking Destruction : I think they had a song with a chorus like "fuck myspace". That what it sounded like to me. The bassist had issues with his cable, but I think he fixed it quickly. They were really nice dudes and the drummer thanked me for the pictures of them in maryland. they were definitly awesome. they have a style with all 3 guys singing that I like a lot. |

burn the masses: well, it seems the drunken dude in the crowd during TFD was the singer for BTM. so this was a more MDF band than a DGF band. They reminded me of some of the french bands that have come over. I'm not saying I'm some sort of french grindcore expert, but I know a thing or two. The singer spent most of the time in between songs talking shit about spending $$$ at relapse. Comparing it to walmart. I'm guessing someone's demo got turned dow. They had a song called "Seth putnam is in acoma cause anal cunt is really good". they also called everyone in the north faggots. making fun of how "tough" we are and all the toughguy stuff they read on the internet. in the end, all the time, robin and others from the crowd were heckling them. I don't think the singer got beat up. if he did, I surely didn't see it. |

exactly violent style: I have no clue what they were saying in between songs. The only word I caught was beer. I think. Not even sure about that, but joe showed up with a beer for them so I assume that was right. They were minimal grindcore with bursts of noise or some guitar noodling every now and then. some of the singing was terrible. I couldn't get into it , but the "non-sing songy" vocals were good. they played a short set and finished with some garbbled engrish. |

Anyays, I'm gonna have to add this to the top 5 worst shows we've ever played. N ot that this show was bad, which it wasn't, but we were.
Here's what happened.

Me: Just guitar and lots of bass and I need it loud
After 1st song:
Me: barely any bass and guitar in the monitor
Tyler: I need more snare in my monitor
After 2nd song:
Me: Still more guitar in my monitor. And I have absolutely no bass
Tyler: I still need more snare in my monitor
3rd song:

watchmaker: well, mark, nick, and john were MIA for like 15 minutes while watchmaker was suppose to be setting up. not sure what they were doing, but I will assume it was majick fairy dust that makes them play super fast! Once they returned from the land of unicorns and pink fairies, they set up quickly. The set was reported by the band to be one of their worst ever. I disagree. It wasn't their best, but it sounded good. Mark's guitar was one 4' leash so he kept unplugging it evertime it moved at all. Besides that there was a little more hesitation between sets and that is all I noticed. oh, the saw mic was unfortunately broken. |

hidden hand, the: over and over and over the kickdrum mic kept falling off the drum riser. That was super annoying. for those of you who didn't know, Seemless played next door and all the guys from seemless were in the audience for THH. Wino playing is awesome to see. I click back to saint vitus every now and again and see stuff that was done 20 years go influenced or rehashed in bands now-a-days. For those ignorant ones out there, search wiki for the info on that band. then you can wonder why someone as old as you mom/dad can still rock out so hard. Anyhow, they've been working new record. they played a lot of newer stuff from the new record. It's called something like 'The resurrection of whiskey _'. even with the old Ep, the bassist sang a lot more than I remember. |
