we got down here and through the eyes of the dead was already on so we missed shooting them. I must say, they sounded awesome. the vocals were so much better than at metal fest or the ashland show. they must have turned up the br00tal in a major way!

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jul 14,2006 3:28pm
you can't run sound at a metal show unless you have a br00tal knob on your mixer

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 3:50pm
I've already seen seen W3, dave (ts drummer), adam & zack (goratory), and... I'm not sure who else.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Jul 14,2006 3:51pm
id totally be there if it were easier to manage

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Jul 14,2006 3:55pm
Cav will be there...he somehow got a free ticket.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 4:14pm
it is so fucking hot here it's unbelievable. I've already drank down 2 bottles of wanted.

horse the band: 20minutes this was the first band that I got take pictures of. The keyboardist said he messed up a song at the last show (where they forgot their banner). I liked their live set at hellfest better cause the stage was lower, they were all in pink shorts with sweat bands.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 5:37pm
ok.. tony, big al, joy, most of COA. and so many more people that I'm stopping the list now.

I'm completely gwar soaked.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 5:49pm
chariot, the: 20minutes they had played a new song and had a new guitarist I think. I actually thought the singer was a different guy until he started moving around and throwing the mix stand up as high as he could. they sounded awesome.

behemoth: 20minutes ok, how odd was it with thechariot introducing them. Funny one might say. Their set was br00tal, but they didn't had the normal "punch you in the face" loud sound. They normally have. I think it's cause this place doesn't have a cieling. I saw one of the guitarists walking around minutes before their set with no corpse paint on. He much be like superman with that. just hops in the grim phone booth and springs right out in full ash-covered glory.

Any idea when GWAR goes on? I have two free tickets and they are the only reason I want to go.

toggletoggle post by niccolai   at Jul 14,2006 6:11pm
What was the chariots new song like, Aaron?

gwar wouldn't be the ONLY reason I would go, but definitly the main reason.

Aaron, take TONS of Gwar shots please!!!!!

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 14,2006 6:20pm
Gwar played...cc is playing their last song now. Too late guys. Aaron did take a lot of gwar pics..I'll link myne too

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 6:36pm
the new chariot song sounded like... norma jean.

black dahlia murder, the: 20minutes sponsored by jager now. They tossed out some prizes into the crowd. I thing the prizes were in beach balls. they sounded awesome as well. I don't think trevor went out into the crowd at all like he usually does.

terror: 20minutes since the set was so short, so the usual vogel speeches were cut down to only one where he shouted out coiln, converge and a bunch of other bands/people from the area. I missed all there jumpshots, but at the end, scott went out into the crowd. This got a lot of kids to croud surf. And I truly mean a lot. This was the first band that had security people running each direction.

Did CC sound good? How long did they play for?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 7:58pm
I'm posting set times as the show goes. give me some time...

converge: 25minutes I heard that they didn't go over well on previous shows (odd cause I thought they were only playing this one show). I can't believe it. Yes, it's hard for music that is in you face and personal to translate on to a stage. there are few bands that I would can "institutions", but since I'm from the merrimack valley, this band is. I can't speak for other shows, but here they hit it and the crowd was into it. The sound was as good for them as the rest of the bands. I spent the first 3 songs running back and forth through the photo-pit following jake and then watching him and nate fight when their chords got tangled. Right as I was getting shuffled out of the pit, they clicked into you fail me. There were very few songs that I just stood and watched and this was one of them. don't quiz me on the 6-ish songs they played, but they played something off jane doe, you fail me, and I think vultures.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 8:51pm
gwar: 35minutes in a cause of kill-song-kill-song-kill-song-kill-song-kill-song, gwar ripped through a cop, the nazi pope, some #1 fan dude, GWB, and a t-rex. Their bush killing was a lot different this time. He wasn't nailed down. They killed him standing up and running around, no jump rope and it went into bring back the bomb. they ended with some summer song that was a cover and I can't remember what it was. They didn't seem to spray that much stuff. I think they were having their typical SOTU technical difficulties.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 9:12pm
cannibal corpse: 30minutes - it was very odd seeing corpse grinder out in the day light. I won't go into details, but light is not cc's friend. besides that, they sounded in top form. Some of the songs they played were fucked with a knife. Make them suffer. and Strippped raped and strangled. What pissed me off about their set is that there were a bunch of hot topic shoppers yelling for them to get off the stage, lame.

The people around me were diggin CC, It was awesome, it was cool that they played old shit. And not 100 percent Kill stuff

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 9:27pm
they played devoured by vermin too.

trivium: 30minutes - the singer seemed pissed for most of their set. He couldn't hear anything through his monitor. They played flawlessly and got the crowd chanting, surfing and circle pitting. I watch the crowd swirl around like a tornado on a little monitor during their set. Under the stage there is a monitor to a video camera on the stage.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 9:28pm
in flames: 35minutes - they definitly knew the audience they were going to play for tonight, pulling a bunch of songs off the sing-songy cd, reroute. the light show started up during their set and they had a buch of color light stands on the stage. andres mentioned the palladium and sent the last song out to a guy who lost a dear friend and was really moved by that song when they played it at the palladium.

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Jul 14,2006 9:31pm
converge also played a new song off their upcoming record "No Heroes" short kinda reminded me of the first song off of Empty Skies. also they ended their set with the first song off of Jane Doe.

great set, Nate's bass sound was retardedly loud like skull shaking loud.

Just got back, saw and talked to aaron for a little bit.

Sunburnt to fuck on my back.

Behemoth = Awesome
Cannibal Corpse = Awesome
Black Dahlia Murder = Awesome
GWAR = Awesome

In Flames, was one of the worst musical experiences I've had. They only played songs off the last 3 albums, which are 3 of their worst in my opinion. It'd be so much better if they played some shit off of the first two full lengths, but that'll never happen again.

Light is not CC's friend? Whats the difference if they play a show at night or in the day? I dont get it

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 10:37pm
it's a simpsons quote.

as i lay dying:45minutes - it took longer than it should have to get them on the stage so some stage crew guy crossed off at least one song off their set list. they had so much light! Of course it was all behind them and they had it aimed directly into my camera. They played some tracks that I know and was actually even able to sing along. since forever, they've ended with forever. this time too.

toggletoggle post by contagion   at Jul 14,2006 11:06pm
me and tony paid 40 to see CC, behemoth, and BDM. horse the band and the chariot are the 2 shittiest bands ive ever seen. gwar was funny as hell. behemoth is the greatest live band ever. that bass drum should come with a warning to pregnant people and those with pacemakers.

i thought trivium did a horrible job..... it seemed like they slowed down the guitars and sung all the parts they used to scream

i want to personally strangle any Hot Topic faggot that would heckle CC. Corpsegrinder should have jumped off the stage and busted some skulls.

CORPSE killed everyone.
their sound was so much more articulate than anyone else who played.
they stood out as professionals amidst a sea of children.
BDM was sick, BEHEMOTH was sick but somehow in the outdoors, the subtleties of their sound did get lost.
on a side note, the pits were fucking anemic....

im so fucking tired of all these massholes.
these fucking "yeah dude," types who love their homoginzed bullshit ass metal core. IN FLAMES MUST DIE!

it seems like the hot topic shoppers get into a certain band that band goes downhill. It happened to cradle of filth(though i still like em unless thornography sux) Now its happening to in flamers and as i lay whining

odd, I thought that ever band sounded more articulate that I've ever heard any of them sounding.

I think with them it was the face that a lot of the frequencies just went off into the sky.

I know that I didn't write or post it.

killswitch engage: they opened with last seranade I think. it was so damn dark there. I shot 3-4 songs and then had to leave as they started when darkness falls. that is it.

CC sounded like crap(i dont mind them, i just dont think it sounded good), the chariot were a bunch of faggots...im the guy that caught the water bottle in mid air and threw it back...i almost cried during their set...not cuz i was sad, because it sucked so much...all else was amazing
