It's an ESP LTD B404.

I ordered a 405 and 404 but mine haven't come yet so here's a few pictures of my friend bills I took after I got done doing a setup.

The camera is new also, better than my old one but I still have no clue how to take a picture:

What do them basses go for? I m trying to decide what one I get next. I am debating between this odd schector I seen with active EMG's and a really unique finish, and the new Jackson bass. I could open my eyes for one of those if they are in the range I want to spend.

Americanmusical.com has them for a really low price right now (500 for the trans red 4 string like in the pictures, or 560 for the transparent black five string version).


Of course if you don't like ordering from that website, tell any ESP retailer you buy from and they will match or beat the price.

they normally go for 700-750 New. At AM's price, it's a steel.

for some reason, only the red 4 string version and black 5 string version are cheaper, the brown 4 string is still 700$ and the sunburst 5 string is still like 750

These are amazing basses with similar neck dimensions to the schecter stilettos, but lighter weight and much better in my opinion.

They come with a lifetime warranty, which is also a plus. They kick the crap out of schecter and jackson in my opinion.

If you're ever in the area and want to try one out Josh, you're more than welcome, as there are only 2 ESP retailers within 40 miles of us and neither one would have this bass in stock.

I'm sure bornsovile would also back LTD basses.

The B404 comes with active EMGs, Grover TITAN tuners (never ever go out of tune), Gotoh bridge, mahogany body, 5 piece maple/walnut neckthrough neck, quilted maple top.

Jakcsons new ::gasp:: hatebreed signature bass was a world better than any other jackson bass I have played. It left me really impressed. I think I am going with a 4 string on the next abss to keep in C for most of the time, and use the one I got now for A# since we use both tunings.

I didn't have much time playing with the schecter, but I was into the feel of the neck and it did have EMG's.

Maybe I can stop by sometime when you get it and play it a little and see how it feels. I don't mind ordering from the internet if it is a good deal.

Is the jackson hatebreed bass you're talking about the Chris Beatie one?
I played one the other day at SS music. It was a good bass, but it was only bolt-on, the body was alder, the pickups were passive... it just didn't have the same upgraded features the ESP and Schecter will.

The studio was a badass guitar too, my problem with it was it weighed a friggin ton and neck dived, do I eventually gave in to something more comfortable.

you overblow your backlighting, but it's just where the sun is and not a hotkey shot.

find a cheat sheet for your camera. you are shooting F/3 which is a wicked shallow (though it actually looks like you are shooting f/5 in the pictures so you might be zoomed in. not sure). with a cheat sheet, you'll be able to see the aperature that you need to get thr whole thing in focus.

So if you were to score them from 1-10?

I think it's a HUGE improvement from my last pictures.

A big tip no one ever wants to hear... read the manual about all it's different modes, then take what you read and try to apply it to make the pictures better. After you do that take some more pics, then ask for more tips and we can go into techniques and what not. If you want I can teach you all the technical stuff on the camera, all the parts, what they do, how it works etc etc etc.

my 1-10 for snap shots is at a 6. my 1-10 for artistic quality shots is at a 2. compared to your older pics I say 8. not sure I am making sense anymore haha.

Word, I'll check out the manual and see if I can dial in some better settings.

my biggest goal with the pictures was trying to capture the quilt on the maple, which I think workedout so-so.

a friend of mine used to have a 404... i played on it a few times... very nice feel to it.
