i thought about doing this earlier this year but don't have nearly enough resources to pull it off

good idea though...especially if it were to be at a place like reflections where stage/sound/booze is already provided

i hate reflections though cause the guy who handles the shows there dicked us over on 3 seperate occasions. I would totally say do it at Goodtimes if Goodtimes wasn't 21+, if nobody minds that, that should be the place to do it. Or a place like Harpers Ferry I would say.


At the same time, it's up to Aaron, he should probably pick the bands if he wanted to do something like this, after all it basically is a fest for him haha.

or he could do the "old fasioned" way and put all of our band names on a wall and start throwing darts.

maybe not mongrel but ken has argued with or made fun of almost every band there. i just picked bands out of the air i don't keep up with who hates who.

well aaron actually did have some rttp shows that HE set up and chose bands...i want to say that there was some voting involved..but i can't remember exactly. I also booked a surprise birthday show for him as well complete with bday cakes and all.

Ken makes fun of everybody. I lost track ;)

i'm gonna book a show with all the metal bands that post on here, and all the metalcore bands that post on here and call it Frown Fest in honor of all the sour pusses people will be making all night.

Are you sure they just don't go to metalcore shows? In Dire Need and The Automata and Back of tha Neck are terrible and if I was a metal kid I wouldn't want to subject myself to that embarassement.

ill try to get in touch with him about it...as far as i know he's still in the hole from the last one at club 125...but maybe we can work something out with the club(and not have it be as elaborate with the kegs and the pig/cow roast)

i don't know what the sportsmen's club wants as far as $$ and we'd need to get a professional sound guy with tons of equipment

i'd need to take out a loan to cover that...and that's not happening haha
